For floating week owners, call 1-800-925-9999 and request a reservation for your preferred travel dates. Remember, we want to ensure you have the opportunity to come home to your resort when it is best for you, so please call ahead since requests are honored on a first-come, first-served basis. 2. If you own a fixed week and will be traveling during your scheduled week, simply call 1-800-925-9999 and a vacation consultant will be more than happy to assist you in finalizing your vacation plans. EXCHANGE You have two options: 1. Stay at your home resort at a time other than your scheduled week or stay at another Westgate property by doing a “Developer Exchange.” Just tell us when you would like to visit.* 1-800-925-9999 2. Exchange your week through Interval International and travel the world. Please contact us at 1-800-925-9999 and we will be more than happy to assist you. *Applicable fees may apply. And if you want to exchange your week, either for a different Westgate week or through Interval International, we’ll “walk” you through the process. Helpful Tips • Check-in days vary, depending on the resort. Because we want to give you the greatest opportunity to obtain what your family needs for your vacation plans, please call (1-800-925-9999) and confirm at least 6 months in advance of your desired visit. If your vacation needs have changed, please refer to pages 44 and 45. • Would you like to come back to your home resort at a time other than the week you own? Or would you like to try another Westgate Resort? Contact us (1-800-925-9999) and mention you would like to do a “Developer Exchange” and we’ll do the rest! • To enjoy usage of your villa, please make sure all annual fees associated with the occupancy year of deposit are current prior to your arrival. • If you own a “lock-off” villa, please read the “Lock-Off Info” listed on the respective Resort Information Page in this booklet. This will help you get the most out of your Westgate Resorts ownership. Use only the part of your villa you need and deposit the rest for future use! • Check-in begins at 4 p.m. Contact us (1-800- 925-9999) if you’ll be arriving late, or if you have special needs such as a highchair or crib. • If you are giving your villa to a friend or relative as a gift to use, it is important to call us (1-800-925- 9999) at least 60 days in advance of arrival and let us know. This will ensure your guest’s check-in is as smooth as possible. • Planning on traveling the world? Q. How do I reserve my floating week? A. When making your vacation plans, be sure to request your reservation(s) according to your resort’s floating plan. Details of these plans can be found in the Public Offering Statement that governs your ownership. Floating plan reservations are always on a first-come, first-served availability restricted to the season of ownership. We strongly suggest not purchasing airline tickets, if needed, until confirming your reservation. You may visit www.westgateresorts.com for more information. 2. Q. How far in advance can I request reservations? A. Each floating plan allows owners to request up to eleven (11) months in advance of their desired travel dates. All requests are processed in the order received. Refer to your resort’s information page for details. 3. Q. Can I travel in a higher season or to a larger villa than the one I own? A. Yes. Upgrades are subject to availability, and applicable villa upgrade fees will apply. Please call 1-800-925-9999 to discuss vacationing options with one of our consultants. 4. Q. Can I split my usage into reservations of less than seven nights? A. Several of Westgate Resorts’ floating plans allow for “split week usage.” This allows owners to request two stays, one for three nights and one for four nights. There are restrictions on which days may be requested. To see if your resort offers a split week usage plan, refer to the resort information page in this Owners Guide. 5. Q. I can only vacation on the same dates every year. How can I be assured of getting reservations? A. Fixed week owners are guaranteed the week they own. Floating week owners are encouraged to call 1-800-925-9999 eleven (11) months in advance for the largest variety of vacationing options. 6. Q. If I need a few additional nights, can I rent them and stay in the same villa? A. If we are not expecting another owner in the villa you are occupying, there is the possibility that you can stay in the same villa for the extra nights. 7. Q. If I send a guest for my reservations, do they receive the same privileges that I would? A. Owners privileges are exclusively for owners. If you have people traveling with you, they will receive your same privileges. 8. Q. When is the maintenance and tax bill due? A. We encourage you to pay your maintenance and tax bill upon receipt. To avoid late fees, payments must be received no later than January 2nd of the year being billed. Complete information is included in the invoice(s) mailed. If you wish to deposit with Interval International or any other exchange or you would like to make a Developer Exchange, all fees must be prepaid prior to the due date. To use a confirmed reservation, a Float Week owner must pay all maintenance fees by the collection due date each calendar year or by thirty (30) days prior to check-in, whichever occurs earlier. Any reservation confirmed prior to the due date will be subject to cancellation if the owner does not pay the fees by the due date. 9. Q. Can I make my mortgage or maintenance payments online? A. Visit www.westgateresorts.com and proceed to the “Westgate Owners” section. Can I change which day of the week I am scheduled to check-in? A. At resorts utilizing the fixed week plan, owners have a designated check-in day assigned. Under this plan, if you wish to travel the same week but arrive on a different day, it would require an exchange request and the payment of a Developer Exchange fee. At resorts utilizing the floating plan, both float and fixed week owners have flexibility on check-in days according to availability. Please refer to your resort’s Public Offering Statement or contact us at 1-800-925-9999 for more information. 11. Q. Can I exchange my week with Interval International? A. Please call us at 1-800-925-9999 and we will assist you in your vacationing options. 12. Q. Can I deposit / exchange a future year ’s reservation? A. Yes. Please call 1-800-925-9999 to discuss your vacationing options. 13. Q. Why do I have to pay an exchange fee at my home resort? A. Any time you change the dates of a fixed week or resort location of occupancy, you are required to pay a Developer Exchange fee. This is a service provided through the CFI Resorts Management Company; it is not part of the Association or purchase agreement.
