Los hombres compiten en la Superliga Europea en Florencia con el objetivo de mantener la categoría, es decir, intentarán evitar una de las dos últimas plazas que llevan directamente a la Primera División; mientras que las mujeres competirán en el grupo “B” de Primera División en Gävle (Suecia) con el empeño de ganar la competición y ascender a la Superliga europea que el año que viene se celebra en Málaga. SUPERLIGA EUROPEA - HOMBRES Los dos objetivos son complicados. En chicos especialmente porque en la Selección Española hay alguna baja importante por lesión (hoy mismo se ha producido la del triplista Andrés Capellán que se une a la del también saltador Joan Lino Martínez lesionado hace unos días en Huelva) y porque alguno de nuestros mejores atletas aún no ha mostrado un buen nivel de forma. Nuestros atletas tendrán que luchar punto por punto para evitar el descenso. A priori, con las marcas en la mano el equipo español es superior al checo y similar al italiano y al polaco. Mientras que rusos, franceses y británicos, por ese orden, aparecen como las formaciones más fuertes. En el aspecto individual son numerosas las figuras que tomarán parte en la Superliga. Destacamos a los velocistas Ronald Pognon, Marc Raquil (FRA) y Mark Lewis Francis (GBR) y a los mediofondistas Andrea Longo (ITA) y Dmitry Bogdanov (RUS). En las pruebas de vallas sobresalen Ladji Doucoure (FRA) Jiri Muzik (CZE) y Chris Rawlinson (GBR). En saltos el pertiguista italiano Giuseppe Gibilisco y el plusmarquista mundial de decatlón Roman Sbrele (CZE) que saltará longitud, mientras que en lanzamientos resaltamos la participación de los alemanes Ralf Bartels (GER) en peso y de Markus Esser en martillo, así como del lanzador de jabalina ruso Aleksandr Ivanov. En Florencia la competición comienza el viernes y se prologa durante el sábado y el domingo. Los rivales de España son Rusia, Francia, Gran Bretaña, Alemania, Polonia, Italia y la República Checa. PRIMERA DIVISÓN - MUJERES En mujeres la empresa tampoco es sencilla, aunque España presenta una formación muy homogénea, pero tendrá que derrotar a una potente selección húngara y al equipo sueco que lideran la heptatleta Caroline Kluft, la saltadora Kajsa Bergqvist y la vallista Susanna Kallur. Además, Suecia juega en casa. En cualquier caso, las fuerzas estarán muy igualadas, pues tanto Finlandia como la República Checa también cuentan con buen potencial. Actualmente la AEEA goza del reconocimiento nacional e internacional de todos los estamentos del atletismo. Con cerca de 100 miembros en estos momentos, la AEEA continúa aportando a la estadística atlética nacional e internacional su esfuerzo e ilusión.     Nota de Prensa nº 042/2013 - Madrid, 15 de marzo de 2013 [email protected]– www.rfea.es Copa de Europa de lanzamientos de invierno LOS MEJORES LANZADORES DEL MUNDO COMPITEN EN CASTELLÓN El discóbolo lituano Virgilius Alekna, doble campeón olímpico (2000 y 2004), doble campeón del mundo (2003 y 2005) y campeón de Europa (2006), y la lanzadora de martillo rusa Tatyana Lysenko, actual plusmarquista mundial (78,51metros) y campeona olímpica en Londres’2012 y del Mundo en Daegu’2011, además de campeona de Europa en 2006, son dos de las principales estrellas que competirán este fin de semana en Castellón con motivo de la Copa de Europa de Lanzamientos de Invierno. El historial deportivo de estos dos atletas les encumbra a lo más alto del podio entre los 249 inscritos de 38 países que lanzarán en el Polideportivo Municipal Gaetà Huguet y en la nueva Pista de Atletismo Universitat Jaume I. Alekna suma 10 medallas del máximo rango logradas en JJ.OO., en Mundiales y en Europeos, pues además de los títulos antes reseñados, el lanzador lituano, miembro de la escolta personal del Presidente de la República de Lituania, fue varias veces medallista en esas tres grandes citas internacionales. Lisenko, por su parte, también fue medalla de bronce en el Mundial de 2005 y subcampeona de Europa en Barcelona’2010. Sin embargo, el acopio de lanzadores con medallas internacionales ganadas en JJ.OO., Campeonatos del Mundo y Campeonatos de Europa, es tal, que Castellón parece estos días una escultural montaña de músculos. Junto a Virgilius Alekna y Tatyana Lysenko, también brillan con luz propia, otras leyendas del atletismo mundial como el húngaro Krisztian Pars, actual campeón olímpico, subcampeón del mundo y campeón de Europa de lanzamiento de disco.

Video recordings of the best throw by each of the top ten placed athletes were analyzed. The authors looked at the technical differences between the glide and rotation techniques and between variations of the rotation. They focused on the acceleration profile, with reference to both the shot itself and the athlete’s body. They also analyzed the sequence from athlete-shot system acceleration through to the final acceleration of shot in the delivery. The results suggest that shot velocity alone is not enough to explain the process of acceleration as whole-body momentum is gained or maintained even as there is a marked decrease of shot velocity during flight and transition phases of the rotation technique.
