At the conclusion of the celebrations, 3 Memorial Hall remained open as the Pennsylvania Museum and School of Industrial Art “for the improvement and enjoyment of the people of the Commonwealth”. 3 Philadelphia Zoo – America’s first zoo, is a 42-acre Victorian garden that is home to more than 1300 animals, many of them rare and endangered. The zoo features a children’s zoo, a paddleboat lake, a rainforest themed carousel, and many interactive and educational exhibits. Exclusively at Philadelphia Zoo is a 9-week experience that enables guest to frolic and enjoy a frozen winter wonderland—right in the middle of summer. 4 Reading Terminal Market – Step outside the hotel and experience this historic farmer’s market, located right across the street.
