An optimistic attitude and pesimistic at- titude do have one thing in common – they are both self fulfilling.

What you focus on, whether positive or negative, expands. If you focus on bad things, bad things keep happen- ing. Pessimism usually leads to sub- standard outcomes. Nothing ever goes right for a pessimistic person. They constantly think things will turn out poorly and thus do not put in much effort. In contrast, for optimistic peo- ple, success seems to come somewhat easily. They expect the best and keep their minds focused on the positive. By constantly expecting the best, they get it.
