February is Black History Month. In this HIGHLIGHT I'll summarize just a few of my findings in twenty years of research into the lesbian and gay traditions of historic black Africa. His departure from this world was soon to follow that of his lover of several years, Danne Green.. Having been born in Houston and attended the University of St. Thomas, Jim filled his life with various segments of the arts-in particular pottery, photography, graphic design and music. Jim was, prior to his illness, a graphic designer at both the Montrose Voice and 1WT magazine. He was also for several years bass guitarist with the band Blue Wave.
