Achievements An inter-school Borgeet competition was held at Shrimanta Shankar Academy Senior Secondary School, Dispur on 21st April 2018 in memory of the founder president of the institution Late Bina Chowdhury. Students from 19 schools participated in the competition. The judges included eminent Borgeet exponents Khona Das, Ananta Ojah and Krishna Akangsha Konwar of class 9 has participated in KAI Cadet, Power Fitness Competition : Idnan Ahmed of class 9 bagged Goswami. The chief guest for the occasion was noted music Junior & under 21 years National Karate Championship- 2018 second prize in a Power Fitness Competition on 19th January, composer Ramen Choudhury. The first prize was bagged held at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi and was placed 2018. The competition was organized by Stay Fit Live Pure jointly by Shreya Das and Bimrisha Bimal from Shrimanta second in Female, Individual Kumite Event in Cadet-40 kg Fitness Academy powered by Biofit Gym at Phuleswari Indoor weight category. Stadium, Dispur. Shankar Academy. The second prize went to Krishnav Deka from Delhi Public School, while Debanga Raj Kalita from St. Franci’s D’ Assisi Senior Secondary School bagged the third prize. Shankarian Wins Accolades The school was certified as one of the 3 best schools of the state in the Wipro Earthian research based project, 2017 which was organized by Envis Hub, Assam under Assam Science Technology and Environment Council. A total of seven groups of students from VIII & IX have worked on the project “Sustainability of Biodiversity and Sustainability of Bimrisha Bimal of class 8 bagged the second prize in state level Mehek Yasin Haque of class 9 secured 1st prize in All Assam Borgeet Competition organized in memory of Guru Murari Essay Writing Competition organized by Anand Ram Barooah Water”. st Mohan Sharma on 1 April 2018 at Tirtha Nath Sharma Smriti Sanrankan Samiti in the month of January 2018.     INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF SCIENTIFIC & TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH VOLUME 9, ISSUE 03, MARCH 2020 ISSN 2277-8616 The Charismatic Authority Of Sankardeva And Routinization Of His Charisma: A Weberian Analysis Bedanta Bikash Bora Abstract: The theory of authority is at the heart of the sociology of Max Weber where he focusses on the historical shifts in the exercise of power. The third type of authority explained by Weber is the theory of charismatic authority where he talks about the charismatic powers of different personalities like prophets, heroes in wars, religious leaders etc; by dint of which they are considered superior to the ordinary people. This paper attempts to experiment this celebrated theory in the life and legacy of Sankardeva, a 15th century polymath who founded the vaishnavism in Assam and propounded a reformed version of Hinduism. His eternal charisma on the Assamese society in many ways corresponds to the theory of Weber. The notion of the recognition of validity of charisma, the concept of felt duty, the emancipator and revolutionary spirit of charisma and repudiation of the past- can be very easily attributed to the charismatic personality of Sankardeva. Weber also talks about the routinization of charismatic personality i.e. the demands placed on the charismatic personality while settling the crisis of succession, validation of the positions of authority, social status and the economic priviledges of the subjects, and the demand of giving it an administrative apparatus; which clearly corresponds to the routinization of charisma of Sankardeva after his death in the form of shifting of the authority to his favourite disciple Madhavdeva and in increasing bureaucratization of the Sattra institutes.

During his time, Assam or the north eastern part was totally unknown to the rest part of India and was considered to be in the swamp of darkness. He introduced a religion named “EK SHARAN NAM DHARM” which catches the eye of many people at that time. Through this medium he tried to bring light to the people of Assam and also to the north eastern part of India. Shreemant Shankar Dev travelled all over India for 12 years and made an effort to connect Indian culture with Assam and also the north-eastern part. By making coordination between religion and arts, in true sense he tried to make human race cleaner and discipline. In consequence of which, he succeeded in making a well- developed and culture rich society. This was an important step in regards to the unity of India. Shreemanta Shankar Dev with his aptitude and literature (writing) established the Indian literature and culture in Assam and in the north eastern part of India. He brought the flow of Bhakti movement which was mainly influenced by Shankaracharya to Assam and north east India. Despite being connected to Adwetwad, Shankaracharya also knew the value of the culture vision.
