Aspetti Inventariali Dei Rimboschimenti Di Pino Nero in Provincia Di Rieti
Parole chiave: inventari forestali, Landsat, ortofoto digitali, k-NN, provvigione legnosa Surveying black pine plantations in the province of Rieti (Italy) Abstract In the last century large afforestation programs were carried out in the Apennines to re- cover degraded lands, mainly by Pinus nigra plantations. Currently, many Authors have proposed management guidelines to foster the naturalization of such woodlands. -

Apart from a metropolis, it is hard to find a community as diverse and complex as that of Pontinia which, in spite of deep 'local' roots - (by ‘local’ one might only need to refer to the villages lining the Lepini, Ausoni and Aurunci mountains, and other many examples in the surrounding Ciociaria) - has still managed to bring together such a variety of regional influences. -

Submitted on 2016, 27th February; revised on 2016, 27th June; accepted on 2016, 7th July Editor: Gentile Francesco Ficetola Abstract. The Circeo National Park lies in a territory that was deeply shaped by human activity, and represents one of the few remaining patches of plain wetland habitat in Central Italy. In this study distribution and few demographic information of the amphibians in the Park were provided. Seven species and 25 bibliographic and 84 original breeding sites were recorded, and population size estimations were carried out for a population of these three species: Pelophylax sinkl esculentus, Bufo balearicus and Rana dalmatina. For the studied populations of pool frog and green toad the oper- ational sex ratio and the demographic effective population size was also estimated. For Rana dalmatina, which is strictly associated to forest environment, a positive and significant correlation between the number of egg clutches and maxi- mum depth of the swamps was found. The State plain forest is the most important habitat for amphibians’ conservation in the park. The occurrence of dangerous alien species was investigated and they are evaluated as the major threat for amphibians in the park, especially the crayfish Procambarus clarkii in the State plain forest. -
25Th INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION of HOSPITAL ENGINEERING CONGRESS
25th INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF HOSPITAL ENGINEERING CONGRESS IFHE MAY 27-31 2018 RIETI INVITATION Bologna June 10 2018 Dear International Federation of Hospital Engineering, The SIAIS (Italian Society for Architecture and Engineer for Healthcare) would be honoured to host in 2018, the IFHE 25th Congress, in Italy . The SIAIS believes that the opportunity to have in Italy the 25th edition of the IFHE Congress should not be missed for the following reasons: first of all, Italy is absent from the international scene for a long time, second is that the recurrence of twenty-five years cannot fail to see Italy, which in 1970 hosted the 1st IFHE Congress, as the organizer of this important moment in science. The proposed conference location is Rieti the centre of Italy. The proposed dates in 2018, are : from Sunday, May 27 to Thursday, May 31. The official languages of the congress will be English and Italian, therefore simultaneous translation from Italian to English and vice versa will be guaranteed. Should a large group of delegates of a particular language be present it will be possible to arrange a specific simultaneous translation. May is a very pleasant month in Rieti with nice weather, still long sunny days and warm temperatures. Rieti is an Italian town of 47 927 inhabitants of Latium, capital of the Province of Rieti. Traditionally considered to be the geographical center of Italy, and this referred to as "Umbilicus Italiae", is situated in a fertile plain down the slopes of Mount Terminillo, on the banks of the river Velino. Founded at the beginning of the Iron Age, became the most important city of the Sabine people. -

Journal ofMedical Genetics, 1978, 15, 202-207J Med Genet: first published as 10.1136/jmg.15.3.202 on 1 June 1978. Downloaded from First premarital screening of thalassaemia carriers in intermediate schools in Latium E. SILVESTRONI, I. BIANCO, B. GRAZIANI, C. CARBONI, AND S. U. D'ARCA From the 'Centro di Studi-della Microcitemia di Roma% Istituto d'Igiene dell'Universitd di Roma, Italia SUMMARY In the 1975 to 1976 school year, under the auspices of the Health Authorities of the Latium Region, the Rome Microcythaemia Centre carried out for the first time a partial screening survey of thalassaemia carriers among the students of the compulsory intermediate school in Latium. This work was the beginning of a new preventive school health service aimed at the prophylaxis of Cooley's disease. In 23 places investigated in Latium, 17 724 students were examined, 13 354 of whom were in Rome and 4370 elsewhere. The mean percentage of co-operation was 70% and the mean percentage of thalassaemia 2.42%. Thalassaemic students were invited to attend the centre for a check-up along with their families: about half had already come in by the end of June 1976. All students examined, whether normal or thalassaemic, have received written results of the tests. The screening survey aroused notable interest and obtained wide approval both at school and at home. The news of being thalassaemia carriers, even if not welcome, was never the cause of family tragedy. copyright. It is therefore a question of developing an "ecosystem" made up of hospitality, services, products, experiences, a “unicum” in which the global market can express great interest, increasingly adding to the paradigms of the past the new ones made possible by digitization. -
