BEITEN BURKHARDT Advises Hellenstein SolarWind on Acquisition of a Wind Farm

Munich, 27 August 2018 – The international law firm BEITEN BURKHARDT has advised Hellenstein SolarWind GmbH, a subsidiary of Stadtwerke Heidenheim AG enterprise group, on the acquisition of a wind farm in Grebbin of project developer wpd. The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction volume.

The wind farm Grebbin is situated in Grebbin, a district of the municipality of Obere in the county - in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, and is composed of seven wind turbines with a total capacity of 16 MW.

After BEITEN BURKHARDT had already advised Stadtwerke Heidenheim AG Group on the acquisition of several wind and solar farms in recent years, now the team headed by Dr Maximilian Emanuel Elspas and Dr Sebastian Rohrer was again retained by Stadtwerke Heidenheim AG to comprehensively advise on this transaction. In addition to corporate and energy law, the advisory services rendered by BEITEN BURKHARDT also covered real estate and public law issues as well as the financing of the acquisition.
