Post-Doctoral: Investigative research on the microbial ecology of the river Cauvery and its nine important tributaries in Karnataka State, the DST-Govt. of India project sanctioned to me as Principle Investigator, for Rs. 14.00 lacs, for a period of three years and this project got completed in June 2002. Nine students have been awarded Ph.D. degrees (6 in Zoology and 3 in Environmental Science) and 04 more students are working for their Ph.D. degree in Zoology, under my guidance and supervision. Four students have been awarded M. Phil degrees in Zoology, under my guidance and supervision. Visits abroad and nature of assignment: · On Govt. of India’s National Overseas Scholarship, I was in England for my doctoral studies from January 1992 to June 1995. · I have also visited other European countries and USA during the above period.
