The opportunity was advertised via the Official Journal of the European Union and Public Contracts Scotland. The period of the Contract is five years commencing on 1st July 2016 with a possible extension of up to 12 months. 1.5 The Contract will be utilised by Land and Environmental Services. 2. Evaluation 2.1 28 suppliers expressed an interest in this tender. Of the 28, 12 submitted responses of which 11 were fully evaluated. One offer failed to pass the qualification stage as they failed the Health and Safety requirements. Offers were submitted for 16 Lots which included all of the core lots for the high footfall parks. The lots that received no bids were for the non- core Lots for the low footfall parks 2.2 The award evaluation was based on the following criteria:- Price Quality Quality Sub Criteria 65% 35% Fair Work Practices (including the Glasgow Living wage) 5% Outlet/Equipment 10% Financial Management 5% Innovation 4% Menu(s) 4% General 3% Service & Customer Care 2% Staffing 1% Communication 1% 2.3 The 16 lots will all be awarded on a sole supplier basis per lot. One supplier can be awarded multiple lots, dependant on their capacity. Suppliers as a part of their tender submission have advised the Council of their capacity and awards are reflective of this. 2.4 The strategy shall be revisited for the remaining 13 lots that have not been awarded. 2.5 The evaluation of award criteria and the scoring of the suppliers who have been recommended for award within each respective lot are shown in the table below:- Lot Name of Park and Supplier Total Evaluation No Type of Outlet Score Botanic Gardens Hot and Cold Food Beverage and Ice Cream and Confectionery Supreme Fast 93.10% 1 Outlet Foods Ltd Glasgow Green at South of Templeton St Ice Cream and Confectionery 96.60% 2 Outlet Lets Eat @ QF Ltd Glasgow Green at McLennan’s Arch Ice Cream and Confectionery 3 Outlet Mr Cool Limited 95.70% Hogganfield Park (not the golf course car park) Hot and Cold Food 4 Beverage Outlet Moretti's 98.40% Hogganfield Park (not the golf course car park) Ice Cream and Confectionery 5 Outlet Mr Cool Limited 95.70% Kelvingrove Park Ice Cream and Confectionery 6 Outlet Mr Cool Limited 94.90% Kelvingrove Park at entrance to Museum and Art Gallery Hot and Cold Food 7 Beverage Moretti's 98.40% Pollok Country Park Hot and Cold Food Beverage and Ice Cream and Confectionery 8 Outlet Lets Eat @ QF Ltd 96.40% Queen’s Park The Dairy Ice Ice Cream and Cream Company Confectionery (The Firm of R and 9 Outlet J Codona) 91.10% Victoria Park Hot and Cold Food D M Lite Bite Mobile 10 Beverage Outlet Caterers Ltd 93.20% Victoria Park Ice Cream and Confectionery 11 Outlet Lets Eat @ QF Ltd 92.90% Alexandra Park Ice Cream and Confectionery 12 Outlet Zahra Ices 86.00% Bellahouston Park at Mosspark Boulevard Hot and Cold Food Beverage and Ice The Dairy Ice Cream and Cream Company 13 Confectionery (The Firm of R and Outlet J Codona) 92.20% Cathkin Braes Car Park Hot and Cold Food Cheeky Chilli's 14 Beverage Outlet Hunger Buster 96.00% Maxwell Park Ice Cream and Confectionery 21 Outlet Zahra Ices 86.00% Tollcross Park The Dairy Ice Ice Cream and Cream Company Confectionery (The Firm of R and 29 Outlet J Codona) 89.40% A summary of the unsuccessful tenderer evaluation results can be found at Appendix A. 2.6 This procurement exercise has achieved annual income of £201,378.00 which is an increase of income of £93,853.26 per annum from the current contract. 2.7 Land and Environmental Services shall monitor and manage the performance of the contract. 3. Executive Summary The City of Glasgow has a long tradition in the pursuit of a high quality built environment and public realm, continuing to the present day. This strategy represents the next steps in this tradition by setting out how open space should be planned, created, enhanced and managed in order to meet the priorities for Glasgow for the 21st century. This is not just an open space strategy. It is a cross‐cutting vision for delivering a high quality environment that supports economic vitality, improves the health of Glasgow’s residents, provides opportunities for low carbon movement, builds resilience to climate change, supports ecological networks and encourages community cohesion. This is because, when planned well, open space can provide multiple functions that deliver numerous social, economic and environmental benefits. Realising these benefits should be undertaken in a way that is tailored to the needs of the City. As such, this strategy examines the priorities Glasgow has set out and identifies six cross‐cutting strategic priority themes for how open space can contribute to meeting them.

  • People in Distress (Mental Health Issues)
Sandyford Initiative Protocols PEOPLE IN DISTRESS (MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES) The purpose of this document is to inform clinicians and to support them working with clients who are in distress and/or present with suicidal ideation. Many people anticipate that their first visit to a sexual health clinic will be traumatic and they may feel stigmatised by having to attend. Clinicians should be aware that some information they give may be distressing to the client. For both groups the feeling of distress or discomfort is understandable, and it is the job of the clinic staff to help them to manage it. Empowerment rather than treatment is the preferred goal; different people will try to cope in a variety of ways. Some clients may present with aggressive/threatening behaviour not necessarily in relation to their mental health and it is vital to identify the underlying cause for appropriate action. Please see NHSGGC Standards of Behaviour Protocol. http://www.staffnet.ggc.scot.nhs.uk/Partnerships/MHP/MHP%20Corporate%20Information/Pol icies/MHS%20Policies/GGC%2010-policy-for-the-management-of-violence-and- aggression.pdf (accessed 11 June 2020) This protocol covers the following areas: Specific Mental Health conditions Suicidal ideation Referral pathways Specific Mental Health Conditions Significant numbers of the clients already have a depressive illness, have already been assessed and are part of a treatment plan. Receiving news at a sexual health clinic may be distressing: but they are already receiving support and their main need is for clear information (concentration is often difficult for them). They may need additional support which dovetails with their existing sources of help.
