Man as a nation or as an individual must continue to respond in loving surrender (Matt. 24:13). This Israel did not do. Then he laid the pages of signatures down and for a time looked out the window thoughtfully. "Warren," he finally said, "let's have prayer together about this." He offered an earnest prayer asking God for wisdom, understanding, patience, and love for these dear people, who were members of one of the largest churches in the conference.
