Drake, Maroon 5 Ja Cardi B Olivat Kesän Striimatuimpia Artisteja – Suomalaiset Kuuntelivat Kotimaisista Artisteista Sannia Drake, Maroon 5 ja Cardi B olivat kesän striimatuimpia artisteja – suomalaiset kuuntelivat kotimaisista artisteista Sannia Kesän yksi kuulluimmista lauseista oli eittämättä “Kiki, do you love me?”. Lause liittyi paitsi räjähdysmäisesti levinneeseen tanssihaasteen myös tietenkin kesän striimatuimpaan hittiin, Draken ”In My Feelings”- kappaleeseen. Scorpion-albumilta löytyvää kappaletta on kuunneltu yli 393 miljoonaa kertaa kesäkuun alun ja elokuun 20. päivän välillä. Maroon 5:n “Girls Like You” (featuring Cardi B) on kesän toiseksi kuunnelluin kappale 293 miljoonalla kuuntelukerralla, ja Cardi B:n “I Like It” (featuring J Balvin and Bad Bunny) ylsi kolmannelle sijalle yli 289 miljoonalla kuuntelukerralla. Suomalaisten Spotify-käyttäjien kuunnelluimpien kappaleiden joukosta löytyi kotimaisia ja kansainvälisiä kappaleita. “Viime vuosina suomalaisilta top-listoilta on löytynyt aina vain useampia kotimaisia artisteja. Vaikka tämän kesän kuunnelluimpien biisien listan kärjessä onkin monia kansainvälisiä menestysartisteja, mahtuu mukaan myös monta kotimaista suosikkia. SANNI’n hitti Jacuzzi nousi kuunnelluimpien kappaleiden kärkikolmikkoon. Sen lisäksi top10-listalle nousivat artistit Adi L Hasla, Ellinoora, Haloo Helsinki! ja Petri Nygård”, kertoo Spotifyn Pohjoismaiden toimitusjohtaja Jenny Hermanson. Kuunnelluimpien kesäbiisien kansainväliselle top-listalle mahtuu paljon tanssimusiikkia. Calvin Harrisin ja Dua Lipan “One Kiss, Clean Banditin sekä Demi Lovaton “Solo” ja 5 Seconds of Summerin pop-rock-kappale ”Youngblood” nousivat kaikki kuunnelluimpien kappaleiden listalle. Myös Ariana Granden kappale “No tears left to cry” pysytteli listojen kärjessä koko kesän. Kesä 2018 oli myös läpimurtojen aikaa. 19-vuotias räppäri Juice WRLD Chicagosta nousi listojen kärkisijoille kappaleellaan “Lucid Dreams”. "Juice WRLD on selkeä tämän kesän läpimurtoartisti,” kertoo Carl Chery, Spotifyn Head of Urban Music. “Hänen nousunsa julkisuuteen oli erittäin nopea, mutta hän on samalla osoittanut pystyvänsä myös säilyttämään asemansa listojen kärjessä. The review of year-end data and charts from DiMA’s member companies – Amazon, Apple Music, Pandora, Spotify, and YouTube – found that artists Roddy Ricch, Lil Baby, Bad Bunny, and Megan Thee Stallion were among those with the highest numbers amid the streaming revolution in the music industry. Notably, all four artists have rapidly reached mainstream fame within the past three years. Additional findings from the review of the year-end lists of DiMA member organizations include: • Music fans continued their full-throated embrace of streaming in 2020, connecting with top artists such as BTS, Drake, J Balvin, and Cardi B across a range of platforms as streaming allowed consumers to access and engage with the music they love despite social distancing guidelines. • In a continuing trend since 2019, major rap and reggaeton artists benefit from streaming platforms’ ability to expand their reach across genres and connect with a broader range of fans who are discovering their songs via increasingly curated playlist and discovery features.
