R(.JM Our association with the Scottish Junior Football Association has now spanned five years and during this time ,_the tournament has gone from strength to strength each year . A great deal of the credit for this must go to Joe Black , Secretary of the SJFA, and his team who have worked exceptionally hard throughout the season to ensure the continuing success of the tour nament. As sponsor of the Cup, O.V.D. Rum is particularly ap preciative of their contribution , much of which is behind the scenes. We would also like to acknowledge the support of all the clubs and regional SJFA officials over the years . Like junior football, O.V.D. Rum has a proud heritage in Scotland , Insurance Brokers and Independent Financial and the Cup has done a tremendous job in maintaining and developing increased awareness of O.V.D. - Scotland 's leading dark rum. For a lengthy period of time there had been a tradition of Firhill semi-finals , resurrected again this year , but it is indeed an honour to have our ground chosen as the venue for the final tie of such a prestigious tournament. It was always Partick Thistle on a Saturday , but as a very young boy I remember DRAMPACLTD being taken on spring and summer evenings to see such as Maryhill , Maryhill Harp, Perthshire, Ashfield and Petershill , and I have retained a keen interest in the Junior game ever since, and that's a very long time.
