Wednesday Moderate 10.15 am. Dorney, Thames Path and Jubilee River. SU 927 789 1 February Park considerately at the far end of the garden centre car park at SL4 6QP Dorney Court. The walk is flat and passes Dorney Rowing Lake and 5.5 miles along the Thames Path to Boveney Lock, then through Eton Wick to reach the Jubilee Rover following its watercourse, reed beds and wetland nature reserve. SU 891 774 This is a seriously hilly walk, starting with 175 metres of ascent in the SL6 2NA first 300 m. of the walk. After following the top of the ridge, we drop 9.5 miles steeply down to Wootton under Edge, up to Newark Park, down to Wortley and Alderley, before undulating on to the Somerset Monument. Moderate 10.15 am. A bluebell walk around Russell's Water. SU 718 887 Hilly Start at the bend in the road close to Maidensgrove. For recent RG9 6EY TomTom and maybe some other satnavs use Mapcode C43.2Z7 nearest (enter it where the satnav asks for an address). 6.2 miles A hilly and possibly muddy walk in a lovely part of Oxfordshire. From Stonor take the lane signposted to Russell’s Water. Shortly after reaching the open common the road turns sharp right. Park on the verge beside the road. A lot of stiles and some steep hills. From the A4155 take Road towards nearest Hambleden village and the free car park is on the left after about a 6.4 miles quarter of a mile. The walk includes an attractive stretch of the 300 ft Thames Path passing Temple Island, then Henley, views from ascent Remenham Hill and then crosses the weir at Hambleden Mill.
