Während seiner Zeit als Posaunist in Bowies Brass Fantasy war er ein Protege des großen Lester Bowie. Luis Bonilla hat als Mitglied des Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, des Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra unter Arturo O’Farrill, der Mingus Big Band und in Dave Douglas Brass Ecstasy gespielt. Als Sideman hat er mit Größen wie McCoy Tyner, Dizzy Gillespie, Tom Harrell, Freddie Hubbard, Astrud Gilberto, Willie Colon und Toshiko Akiyoshi zusammengearbeitet. Als Komponist, Bandleader und Studioartist wurden Bonillas Platten von großen Jazzpublikationen gelobt, wobei die CD Twilight (Planet Arts) 2010 von All About Jazz als „ausgewogenes Fest für die akusti- schen Sinne“ beschrieben wurde. In der Popwelt hat Bonilla u. a. mit Ikonen wie Tony Bennett, Alejandro Sanz, Diana Ross, Marc Anthony, La India, Mary J. Blige zusammengearbeitet. Zuletzt war er mit Phil Collins in Europa, den USA und Lateinamerika on Tour. Seit 2018 lebt Luis Bonilla in Graz und unterrichtet am Jazzinstitut der Kunstuniversität Graz. https://tubes-music.at/de/events/luisbonilla3 Martin SCHLEMMER Die steirische Vokalistin Martina Schlemmer studiert derzeit Konzert- fach Jazzgesang bei Dena DeRose an der Kunstuniversität Graz. Sie nahm unter anderem an Meisterklassen der Jazzlegende Sheila Jordan, dem renommierten Jazzsänger Theo Bleckmann und der Broadwaysängerin Natalie Weiss teil und arbeitete mit dem US- amerikanischen Komponisten und Arrangeur Michael Abene sowie dem spanischen Komponisten und Arrangeur Iñaki Askunze. Sigi FEIGL studierte in den 1980er Jahren an der Kunstuniversität Graz, mit Ab- schlüssen sowohl in klassischer Klarinette als auch in Jazz-Saxophon. 1980 gründete er die Big Band Süd, die bis 1997 bestand und aus dessen Stamm Feigl 1999 die Jazz Bigband Graz formte und bis 2003 leitete. Ab 1989 unterrichtete er in der Jazzabteilung der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz. Er organisierte im Grazer WIST die Konzertreihe „Monday Nights“. Im Jahr 1986 gründete er außerdem das Symphonische Orchester Leibnitz, das er bis 2003 leitete. 1993 bis 1996 führte er die private Musikschule Sigi Feigl. 1997 wirkte er bei dem Album Im Himmel ist die Hölle los der Ersten Allgemeinen Verunsicherung mit. Aus seinen Konzertinitiativen entstand in den 1990er Jahren das Jazzfestival Leibnitz, seit 1996 organisierte Feigl als Leiter von „Kultur in Leibnitz“ mehrere hundert Kulturveranstaltungen. Aus der Tätig- keit bei internationalen Jazzworkshops der Musikalischen Jugend in Kroatien entstand 2003 das „HGM Jazz Orkestar Zagreb“, das er auch leitete.
