ELEGIBILITY 1) Please provide a description of your responsibilities within your institution. UBS in Society covers all the activities related to sustainable finance (including sustainable investing), philanthropy, climate strategy, environmental and human rights policies governing client and supplier relationships, environmental footprint, human resources and community investment. The Head of UBS in Society is responsible for the creation, and implementation of the group sustainability strategy connecting all these topics. The Head UBSS in Society develops the UBS in Society strategy, leads in its execution, and submits annual and multi-year objectives to the Group CEO which are approved by the Group Executive Board (GEB) and the Board Corporate Culture and Responsibility Committee (CCRC).

2) Are you in a position where you have the authority to make the decisions required as a member of the Banking Board and the ability to mobilize support within your institution? The Head UBS in Society is UBS's senior level representative for environmental and sustainability issues. Reporting to the Group CEO, the Head UBS in Society chairs the UBS in Society Steering Committee which is composed of senior members from all business and corporate functions. The Head UBS in Society is a member of the Global Environmental Social Risk Committee chaired by the Group Chief Risk Officer.

3) Describe your track record of implementing and promoting sustainable banking practices. Phyllis has led UBS' vision to accelerate the growth of sustainable finance targeting the SDGs for society's most marginalized. She led the Social Finance group which launched the first Development Impact Bond (DIB) for education in India, resulting in substantially improved learning outcomes and an IRR of 15%. Under her direction, UBS has partnered with bilaterals and multilaterals to launch numerous and successful DIBs and impact loans (interest rate falls as social outcomes are delivered). She is currently structuring a large global DIB Fund which blends philanthropic and investment capital to drive health and education outcomes in Africa and Asia.
