Murray believes his background as a quarterback prepared him for real estate. "You see right away how competitive this industry is, especially in Atlanta," he told Atlanta Business Chronicle. "And I want to compete. I know I'm going to have to work my butt off." Murray was also drawn to the team and culture at Colliers, where Atlanta CEO Bob Mathews is known for developing a collegiate atmosphere. "I like being part of a team, but this also feels a lot like a family," he said. Murray will also remain in the broadcast booth during the college football season, working as a color analyst for CBS Sports Network, as media outlets reported earlier this summer. Murray is one of the University of Georgia’s most decorated quarterbacks. A four-year starter from 2010 through 2013, he is the Southeastern Conference all-time leader in passing touchdowns, completions, passing yards and total yards.
