She was a star with a big recording contract, Snake played on her albums, did the TVs and joined her touring band, including memorable European shows sharing the bill with Joe Cocker. The record deal ended but the pair stayed in touch, eventually forming Burden of Paradise in 2007. The warm intimate Ropery Hall affords the perfect opportunity for a duo show, Helen singing and playing guitar. Snake with long time friends John Thirkell and Mark Creswell. John is one of Britain’s top trumpet and flugelhorn players. Since the 1980s, he has played on hundreds of pop, rock, and jazz recordings appearing on 22 No.1 records; on at least one album in the UK charts continuously for more than 13 years - in 2009 he had two consecutive UK No.1 singles with Pixie Lott.
