Like the new intelligent cockpit, which is your gateway to the digital world. One important feature is the extra-large display for the “Discover Pro” radio navigation system with a 23.4 cm (9.2 inch) diagonal screen measurement. It shows you all the relevant information and lots more in a clear overview. It is also easy to use. New door trims, new decorative inserts and a large selection of seat upholsteries make sure you create the right ambience. H 02 03 02 Whether you want to check the rev counter, speedometer, mileage recorder or your route: thanks to the optional high-resolution Active Info Display which measures 31.2 cm (12.3 inch) across the diagonal, you can dis- play a range of handy information in whatever arrangement you’d like, putting the focus on your favourite functions. For example, selecting navigation mode will move the speedometer and rev counter to the edge of the screen, making more space for the map display. You can also transfer data such as telephone contacts or CD covers from the Infotainment system in the centre console to the Active Info Display. SO 03 Even winter can be fun: the optional heated steering wheel makes sure your hands warm up straight away, even after a long wintry walk. SO The New Golf. If the mobile phone is connected to the hands-free system via a Bluetooth® Hands-Free Profile (HFP) you can make phone calls without needing any cables. The Comfort mobile phone interface uses the vehicle’s external aerial for phone calls, reducing the level of radiation in the vehicle. An additional aerial antenna also improves the signal quality. At the same time, devices that are compatible with the Qi standard can be charged without needing any cables. The Business version comes with a built-in telephone module inside the vehicle and can also be equipped with a separate SIM card.
