Abstract In this essay I will analyse in depth Jim Butcher’s and George R.R. Martin’s female protagonists in Butcher’s Dresden Files and Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire. The essay will demonstrate how both Butcher and Martin depict their female protagonists and companion characters and how their female characters cope with violence in a different manner than how most female writers let their characters do. Moreover, I will analyse and explain how Butcher and Martin’s female protagonists and companion characters are good examples of strong female characters. Both series will be discussed and analysed separately, and subsequently compared to each other, as well as to similar series by female authors, in order to demonstrate how Butcher and Martin depict their female protagonists differently from female authors. Cold Days: a Dresden Files Novel Ebook Free Download
COLD DAYS: A DRESDEN FILES NOVEL PDF, EPUB, EBOOK Jim Butcher | 656 pages | 03 Sep 2013 | Little, Brown Book Group | 9780356500959 | English | London, United Kingdom Cold Days - Wikipedia This book was a difficult read. Not because it was badly written, or because it sucked Butkus in any way. It's because this is the first book that deals with Harry Dresden coming back from the dead Amazing as always! I am thrilled that we're back to having James Marsters be the narrator, because he's the best and his voice is the voice that brings this series to life for me. Cold Days opens with Cold Days. Jim Butcher. I'm not going to hope that Jim Butcher hurries. I want him to take his time and write it how he wants. But there are times I do wish I could skip ahead to when the book is released and start reading it already! View all 3 comments. Dec 12, Heidi The Reader rated it liked it Shelves: fantasy-and-sci-fi , urban- fantasy , fiction. I liked having Harry back on this side of the veil, but I was so-so about the rest of Cold Days , the latest entry in The Dresden Files. Being mostly dead is hard on a guy. Harry Dresden, wizard for hire, is now the Winter Knight after a series of misadventures and serious adventures in the past couple of books. And the position isn't very much fun. The winter fae are hardcore. They're mean, full of tricks and generally happy to kill without consideration for any consequences. -

Dark Predator Character Descriptions (A-Z) ABOUT DARK PRINCE He came to her in the night, a predator -- strength and power chiseled his features. The seduction was deep and elemental; he affected her soul. His need. His darkness. His terrible haunting loneliness. Her senses aroused, she craved the dangerous force of his body. Burned for him. And he had only touched her with his mind. She came to him at dawn, his bleakest hour. As the beast raged inside him, threatening to consume him, he vented his centuries-old despair in an anguished cry that filled the waning night. And she answered, a ray of light, piercing his darkness. A beautiful angel. Her compassion, courage, and innocence awakened in him an exquisite longing and tenderness. He knew he must possess her, for only she could tame his savage side and lift the dark shadow from his soul. Apart they were desolate, bereft. Intertwined physically and spiritually, they could heal one another and experience an eternity of nights filled with love.
