Day 1 – Depart from Honolulu

Day 2 – Welcome to KOREA!

Arrival to Incheon International Airport at 4:20 PM

After retrieving your baggage and clearing customs you will be welcomed by our local guide and escorted to your chartered bus. You will be transported to Seoul for dinner. The drive is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Before arriving you shall have dinner prior to checking in at your hotel. The guide will assist you to check-in at the designated hotel.

Day 3 – Gangnam/Gunsan/Buan (B/L/D)

Discover the true Hallyu (Korean Wave) experience at Hallyu Center in Gangnam. After, you’ll head on over to Samsung D’light and check out all the newest and coolest products from Samsung, the world’s #1 leading tech brand. You will then depart to Buan and experience a breathtaking view of a Korean sunset. Right after we will drive on the World’s longest Seawall, Saemangeum on your way to Gunsan. Drive time over 1:30 hour provide stops at rest area along the way.

Gangnam Hallyu Center

You can relieve your K-Pop and K-Culture addiction through state of the art displays and installations that will allow you to experience the Korean Wave. Sets from popular Korean TV series and movies have been reproduced, and countless items and accessories that have been used by Korean stars will be available for you to use as props in your very own photo shoot! Samsung Delight is the largest Samsung store in the world with global exhibition space that showcases the latest product lineup by Samsung Electronics. The three- storied exhibition space displays electronic products and interaction hall through state-of-the-art digital technology categorized by theme. A variety of hands-on features are available at the digital lounge, the mobile plaza, and the global gallery. Buan (Seoul to Buan: Approximately 3:30 hour drive) Known for one of the ideal places to see a Korean sunset, it looks out into the ocean with distant views of islands off the west coast shores. We will also visit a Buan mud beach.

Saemangeum – World’s Longest Seawall (Buan to Gunsan: Approximately 1 hour drive)

Located on the southwest coast of the Korean peninsula, Saemangeum is the world’s largest man made seawall, measuring 33 kilometers or little over 20 miles. It runs between two headlands and separates the and the former Saemangeum estuary.

Gunsan

Gunsan is well known for sliced raw fish, or hoe (Korean sashimi). In addition to the renowned Gunsan Seafood heaven right on the water is the old port area; a new Hoe center is being constructed to the east of the city, by the dam/ bridge. Gunsan also boasts a first-class seafood market Situated right on the water front, this newer enclosed market has many fresh and frozen fish, crabs and shellfish; salted fish and shrimp and dried fish.

Day 4 – Gunsan/Jeonju (B/L/D)

You will embark to Jeonju and experience the traditional side of Korea. You will get to learn how to make Korea’s most popular dish called, Bibimbap. You will also experience creating your own traditional Korean paper, called Hanji. Afterwards, there will be a traditional performance to view and visit one the traditional town with deep rooted history at Hanok village. (Gunsan to Jeonju: Approximately 1 hour drive)

Hanji is traditional Korean paper. Hanji is made from the inner bark of Paper Mulberry tree native to Korea that grows well on its rocky mountainsides, known in Korean as dak. The formation aid crucial to making hanji is the mucilage that oozes from the roots of Hibiscus. This substance helps suspend the individual fibers in water Jeonju Hanji is made from specially selected trees and water, and carefully produced by Hanju masters.

Traditional Performances

Entertainment by traditional dance performance OR watch the exciting Korean martial arts, Tae Kwon Do demonstration. These performances may vary due to schedule but you’ll enjoy one or the other as a cultural entertainment while in Jeonju area.

Traditional Hanok Village

Jeonju Hanok Village is located in the city of Jeonju and overlaps Pungnam-dong and Gyo-dong. There are over 800 traditional Korean 'hanok' houses. While the rest of the city has been industrialized, Hanok Maeul retains its historical charms and traditions.

Jeonju Hanok village is especially beautiful for its roof curves. The roof edges being slightly raised to the sky is unique. Hanok houses are generally divided into two sections, Anchae and Sarangchae. Anchae is also known as Gyusu room, and is furnished accordingly. Sarangchae is where the men dwell, and is referred to as the Seonbi room. Because men and women have to remain separate, Anchae is situated deep inside the house so that it is secretive and quiet.

Day 5 – Jeonju/Suwon/Seoul (B/L/D)

Departing to Seoul, and the way, you will visit Suwon and its drama producing KBS TV Studio. After arriving in Seoul, you will visit the popular and well known attraction, 63 Building. Take in the breathtaking view of Seoul which also shows nice scenery of the Han River. You will then hop on to a cruise and experience the beautiful nighttime of the Han River. We will also get to see the World’s longest bridge fountain which shows an amazing light show at Banpo Bridge.

TV Studio Visit (Jeonju to Suwon: Approximately 2:30 hour drive)

Check out the indoor and outdoor of KBS Studio at Suwon. It’s the main studio for production. You may also have a chance to see actors and actresses getting ready. There are lots of photo galleries of Korean drama stars, media center that allow hands on experience in TV…magic!

Evening Han River (Han Gang) Cruise

Han River Ferry Cruise is one of the best ways to enjoy the scenery around Hangang River that flows through Seoul. Cool wind from the river, the surrounding scenery, which get more beautiful in the evenings, are the rewards the ferry cruise can offer you.

Day 6 – Seoul (B/L/D)

You will visit the popular N. Seoul Tower, Cheonggyecheon Stream and visit the residence of ’s president nearby. We will then take a tour to Gwanghwamun Square that highlights South Korea’s King Sejong and Admiral Yi memorials. You can’t leave Korea without seeing the Gyeongbok Palace.

N. Seoul Tower

Visit the highest point of Seoul city and enjoy the 360 view of Seoul. There’s lots of areas for great scenic pictures, lounge areas and daily performances held at this area. Gwanghwamun Square

Located at the main entrance of Gyeonbok Palace is The Statue of King Sejong the Great the creator of Hangeul, the Korean alphabet and Korea’s national hero, Statue of Admiral Yi Sun-Shin comes with its wide range attractions The Square is the walking path between Cheonggyecheon Stream and Gyeongbokgung Palace. Cheonggyecheon Stream

Until it was restored in 2005, Cheonggyecheon Stream existed only as a neglected watercourse hidden by an overpass. Today, it has been transformed into a haven of natural beauty amidst the bustle of city life.

Blue House - Exterior only (President Residence)

The Blue House is the executive office and official residence of the President of South Korea. The signature markings of the Presidential Residence of the Blue House are its blue tiles. It is the first thing that catches one's attention upon entering the premises. The blue tiles and the smooth roof blend beautifully with Mt. Bugaksan in the backdrop.

Gyeongbokgung Palace

Built in 1395, Gyeongbokgung Palace is also commonly referred to as the “Northern Palace” because it is the furthest north when compared to the neighboring palaces of Changdeokgung (Eastern Palace) and Gyeongheegung (Western Palace). Gyeongbokgung Palace is arguably the most beautiful and remains the grandest of all five palaces. Evening Entertainment, Nanta OR similar (Show Admission) Without a dialogue, but through rhythmic banging of knives, pots and pans, NANTA (or Cookin’ as it was known in the States) tells the story of four crazy chefs who have been set the impossible task of making a wedding banquet in just one hour.

Day 6 is shopping day! Travel to Insadong to experience a more traditional side of Korea. Visit Myeongdong Market which is the premier shopping destinations in Korea. Plus, Itaewon market, a unique place in Seoul where one can meet people of diverse nationalities and cultures. Or you can spend the whole day as a free day for yourself. If you choose to spend the day away from the group, lunch and dinner are not provided.

Insadong

Insadong is one of the most memorable attractions in Seoul and represents the focal point of Korean traditional culture and crafts. Stores in Insadong specialize in a wide variety of goods that can only be purchased or appreciated in Korea: hanbok (traditional clothing), hanji (traditional paper), traditional teas, pottery, and folk crafts.

Myeongdong Market

Myeongdong is one of the busiest places in Seoul and is among Korea’s premier shopping destinations. Over 1 million shoppers pass through this area each and every day. Located in the heart of Seoul, Myeongdong market has been witness to Korea’s international visitors; Myeongdong is a stunning shopping district with countless shops and restaurants. Its wild popularity has led to similar shopping districts springing up all across the country.

Itaewon Market

Itaewon typically refers to the street full of stores, restaurants, and stalls over 1.4 kilometers (0.869 miles) between Itaewon 1-dong and Hannam 2-dong in the east. Fashion shops specialize in various imported clothes, leather goods, fur goods, handbags, shoes, and antique furniture. Big and tall sizes unavailable in other areas are well-stocked, and experienced tailors offer customized clothes. TENT BAR (POJANG MACHA) - Incidental charges may apply If you’re looking for originality and one of kind bar…in the streets, it’s the tent bar. This experience is offered with Korea’s alcoholic beverages with street food delicacies. It’s a hangout for those looking for a informal drinking atmosphere. For your final day in Korea, you’ll visit the world’s only divided countries’ border, DMZ. Various areas around the DMZ will be visited, and later transported to Incheon International Airport for your departure. Imjinkak (Seoul to DMZ Area: Approximately 1:30 hour drive) It was built in 1972 with the hope that someday unification would be possible. Three-storied Imjingak is surrounded by several Monuments, Unification Park and North Korea Center. 400 kinds of photos and documents showing the stark reality of North Korea are displayed in the North Korea Center of Unification Board. Outside Imjingak, there are 12 kinds of tanks and crafts on display that were used during the Korean Conflict. In front of Imjingak, there is the Gyeongui Train Line which was destroyed during the Korean Conflict in 1950. It has been under construction since 2000. Every year many events for unification are held at Imjingak. Dorasan Station & The 3rd Tunnel Dorasan Observatory is located nearby the 3rd Tunnel. From this observation platform, North Korean military personnel are visible, and so are the highlights of Gaeseong and the Geumgangsan Diamond Mountains.
