Se presenta una sinopsis del género, una clave para la identifi cación de las especies y mapas de distribución. Palabras clave: Asteraceae, Chrysactinia, Tageteae, México. Abstract. The genus Chrysactinia (Asteraceae, Tageteae) includes 6 species distributed in central and northeastern Mexico, with 1 species extending its distribution to the southwestern United States. A synopsis of the genus is provided, including a key to species identifi cation as well as distribution maps. -

Box 13331 El Paso, Texas 79913 El Paso, Texas March, 2002 INVENTORY OF THE FLORA OF THE GUADALUPE MOUNTAINS, NEW MEXICO AND TEXAS INTRODUCTION This report is a second working draft of the inventory of the flora of the Guadalupe Mountains, Eddy and Otero Cos., New Mexico and Culberson Co., Texas. I have drawn on inventory work I have done in the Sitting Bull Falls and Last Chance Canyon area of the mountains and a survey project at Manzanita Springs carried out over the past several years as well as collections made during survey work on two projects completed in 1999 (Worthington 1999a, 1999b). I have included in this report a review of almost all of the literature that deals with the flora of the study area. The goals of this project are to provide as nearly a complete inventory as possible of the flora of the Guadalupe Mts. which includes cryptogams (lichens, mosses, liverworts), to provide a nearly complete review of the literature that references the study area flora, to document where the voucher specimens are located, and to reconstruct a history of collecting efforts made in the region. Each of these activities demands a certain amount of time. Several more years of field work are contemplated. On-line resources have yet to be evaluated. The compiler of this report welcomes any assistance especially in the form of additions and corrections. -

Syst. Evol. 125: 29-46, 1976), it gives the first overall review of the family since Bentham's time. On the evidence provided, the infrafamilial classification proposed by Wagenitz is most strongly supported, to which that proposed by Carlquist is very similar, except for his placing of the Eupatorieae in the Cichorioideae instead of the Asteroideae . Las Familias De Angiospermas De La Flora De Cuba: Visión Diagnóstica Desde Los Sistemas Filogenéticos

Bécquer1 RESUMEN En el presente artículo se compilan los cambios en las circunscripciones de las familias de angiospermas presentes en Cuba según los sistemas filogenéticos APG y APWeb y se ofrecen las diagnosis para su delimitación e identificación. Las diagnosis, así como la variación de los caracteres de los géneros y especies, se basaron en el estudio crítico de la literatura disponible hasta el momento. En Cuba se presentan 210 familias pertenecientes a 54 órdenes, de las cuales 90 son completamente nativas, 94 poseen taxones tanto nativos como exóticos y 26 son exclusivamente exóticas. Del total de familias en Cuba, 80 no han variado su circunscripción tradicional y 94 han sufrido cambios que implican taxones en Cuba. Las familias pueden ser identificadas por sus sinapomorfías morfológicas, o al menos una combinación mínima de caracteres para los taxones presentes en Cuba. A critical analysis of the available literature is made to diagnose the families and to show the species and genera variation within the Island.
