1st Day: New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) – Gangtok Distance: 120 kms (approx) Journey Time: 5 hrs (approx) Overnight stay at Gangtok. 2nd Day: Excurtion to Tsomgo Lake & New Baba Mandir (Permit Required) • Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.): It is a glacial lake in the East Sikkim district of the Indian state of Sikkim, some 40 kms from the capital Gangtok. • New Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.): Indian Army has built-in honour of Capt. Harbhajan Singh. Capt Singh is remembered as the "Hero of Nathula" by soldiers of the Indian army. Bhim Nala Falls is one of the tallest waterfalls in Sikkim and among the prominent spots to visit in Lachung. Situated on Chungthang - Lachung street Overnight stay at Lachen. 4th Day: Gurudongmar Lake Excursion & Lachen – Lachung Early Morning: • Gurudongmar Lake (17,800 ft.): It is one of the highest altitude lakes in the world and India. Trulshik Rinpoche, head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism built this stupa in 1945. In this stupa is a complete set of Dorjee Phurba, Kangyur (Holy Books) and other religious objects. • Enchey Monastery: The Monastery, was established in 1909 above Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim in the Northeastern Indian state. • Banjakhri Falls: It is a recreation centre and tourist attraction near Gangtok, in the state of Sikkim, India. The park's statuary and other displays document the Ban Jhakri or traditional shamanic healer who worships spirits living in caves around the falls. The ban means "forest", and jhākri means "healer". The Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda is a 10-minute drive from the heart of the Darjeeling town. • Batasia Loop: The Batasia Loop was created to lower the gradient of ascent of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway in Darjeeling. At Batasia the track spirals around over itself through a tunnel and over a hilltop. It was commissioned in 1919 and still working. Afternoon Sightseeing: • Mangal Dham: It is a significant worship place in Kalimpong. Guruji Mangaldasji Maharaj came in 1940 here, and this place was built in the memory of Guruji. • Deolo Hill: At Altitude of approx 5590 ft this Hill is one of the two hills that the town of Kalimpong stands between. Kalimpong town is on a ridge connecting the two peaks, Durpin and Deolo. The Hill is the highest point of Kalimpong town. • Dr Graham's Home: In 1900, Reverend Dr , a missionary of Scotland came to Kalimpong to work with the local, laid the stone of this home. • Golf Garden: This golf course offers some excellent view of the mighty Himalayas. Under the control of the army, this is one of the highest golf courses in the country.
