Venable Connection’s Fall Wine Tastings Launched us into the Holiday Season In late fall, Venable Connection held its first two wine tasting events. Over 100 Venable alumni and attorneys joined us in Baltimore and Wash- ington, DC. The Baltimore event took place at Waterfront Kitchen, which provided our guests with a beautiful museum setting, a friendly atmosphere and dramatic views of the Baltimore Harbor. Our Washington, DC event was held at Sonoma Restaurant and Wine Bar, a warm and intimate venue that overlooks Pennsylvania Avenue. Our guests enjoyed learning about the wines and sampling the great food. Many of our guests commented on how much they looked forward to these events and the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and friends.

Diversity Committee Sponsors a Screening of Acclaimed Documentary Jamie Barnett Represents Army Captain in Sexual Assault Case On February 28, the Diversity Committee held a screening of the acclaimed documentary, Justice Is a Black Woman: The Life and Work Venable partner, Jamie Barnett’s (DC) pro of Constance Baker Motley.
