TROPICAL AFRICA FOR ZARA – MOODBOARD Taking inspiration from both Senegal and Morocco, the concept devel- oped into one filled with earthy tones, unique textiles and feminine gar- ment details. Bold colours and prints combine with feminine garments to create an empowering collection, suitable for Zara and their customer. TROPICAL AFRICA FOR ZARA – FINAL LINE UP Draping midi-dresses and off the shoulder jackets make the final line up for Tropical Africa with unique textiles created from mtoifs of jugs, window shutters, doorways, boats, fans and tropical leaves combined together to make repeat prints. A mix of earthy tones along with bright blues taken from the depths of African, set the feminine aethetic for the collection. TROPICAL AFRICA FOR ZARA – OUTFIT 1 BOARD This outfit consists of an off the shoulder culotte jumpsuit paired with an off the shoulder kimono with a tie waist. While the jumpsuit is made from a bright forest green coloured polycotton, the kimono features clashing prints of a tropical leaves and various patterned jugs. TROPICAL AFRICA FOR ZARA – OUTFIT 2 BOARD This outfit consists of a cotton halterneck midi-dress with a cut out section in the torso along with an off the shoulder denim jacket. The main print in this outfit features a motif of fans and fishing boats combined into a bold and colourful repeat pattern of pinks and greens. This is paired with a mid blue denim with raw edges, creating a feminine yet casual aethetic. TROPICAL AFRICA FOR ZARA – OUTFIT 3 BOARD This outfit is a co-ordinating polycotton cold shoulder top and high waisted midi-skirt featuring the same bold print of various jugs, dorrways and window shutters in earthy tones and bright blues. Both garments show gathered details which pair them together and create a feminine look, as well as being suitable for all body shapes. TROPICAL AFRICA FOR ZARA – GARMENT TECHNICAL FLATS TROPICAL AFRICA FOR ZARA – TEXTILES BOARD From patterned jugs to fishing boats, my textiles have derived from everyday items seen around Senegal. Unique doorways, textured window shutters, fans and tropical leaves are all combined together to create these repeat paterns featuring the earthy tones of beiges, clay reds and dusky pinks along with bright aqua blues and forest greens. EUPHORIC DREAMING FOR MOTHER OF PEARL – MOODBOARD Euphoric Dreaming is a mature yet playful collection, resembling a combination of evening wear and night wear. Luxurious fabrics such as silks, faux fur and velvets create elegant garment shapes which drape of the body creating a feminine aesthetic. Pretty florals, honey bees, polka dots and pearls inspire my textiles, working well with the style of garments, and creating garments suitable for a night out and for bed. EUPHORIC DREAMING FOR MOTHER OF PEARL – FINAL LINE UP The final line up combines luxurious evening wear with comfort clothing, creating these versatile outfits that can be worn for an evening out or lounging around at home. Playful prints of polka dots and bees along with abstract flowers work well with the draping shape of the garments and this paired with the deluxe fabrics of faux fur and velvet, create an expensive, feminine and tasteful collection. EUPHORIC DREAMING FOR MOTHER OF PEARL – OUTFIT 1 BOARD This outfit consists of a silk coral pink wrap blouse with flared sleeves, viscose high waisted wide leg trousers with an all-over print of polka dots and bees and a vevet coat with faux fur cuffs and details. This outfit creates and elegant and mature impression, suitable for the Mother of Pearl customer. EUPHORIC DREAMING FOR MOTHER OF PEARL – OUTFIT 2 BOARD Outfit 2 consists mainly of fabrics over prints to create the feeling of lux- ury. A deep navy faux fur jacket with a small bee broach like embellish- ment features on the front of the jacket, made using a mix of gemstones and pearls, is paired with a mustard velvet dress with gathered details and a buttoned back. EUPHORIC DREAMING FOR MOTHER OF PEARL – OUTFIT 3 BOARD Outfit 3 consists of a single garment with delicate details. This silk wide leg jumpsuit features an all-over print of coral polkadots with mustard and navy bees and duck egg frills and a tie waist. Pearls fall down the front of the garment, acting as buttons and creating another luxurious feature.
