Katherine Lee (So., Clinton, N.Y.)... scored the lone Nicole Duarte (Fr., Windham, N.H.)... posted a strong Colby-Sawyer goal against the University of New week on both sides of the net, hitting a solid .281 with 2.67 on September 23. The goal gives Katherine kills and 1.33 blocks per set, as the Chargers compiled a 2-1 two on the season. weekly record in TCCC play.

Jen LaChance (Jr., Killingworth, Conn.)... went 4-0 in Pete Duff (Jr., Greensboro, N.C.)... tallied the lone goal two matches last week for the women’s tennis team, drop- for the Chargers against the University of New England on ping just three games at No.2 singles. Men’s Soccer (1-7-0, 1-2-0 TCCC)... The Colby-Sawyer College men’s soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to the University of New England on Tuesday, September 23 in the Chargers’ only match of the week. The match against Roger Williams, originally scheduled for last Saturday has been rescheduled for Sunday, October 26 at 1:00 p.m. Ju- nior Pete Duff (Greensboro, N.C.) tallied the lone goal for the Chargers this week, which was his fi rst goal doning the Colby-Sawyer royal blue. The team travels to New England College on Tuesday, September 30 and will return home on Saturday, October 4 with a match against Regis at 12:30 p.m.

Women’s Soccer (2-4-2, 1-2-0 TCCC)... The Colby-Sawyer College women’s soccer team played just one match last week and it came against the University of New England, on September 23. The Nor’easters were able to squeak by the Chargers, winning the match 2-1. Sophomore Katherine Lee (Clinton, N.Y.) scored the lone Colby-Sawyer goal, giving her two on the season. Lee’s goal came as a result of a nice service from senior Elise Kapp (Yarmouth Port, Mass.). With the assist, Kapp increased her team leading point total to nine on the season. The Chargers will play a make-up match against Roger Williams on Sunday, October 5, that was originally scheduled for Saturday, September 27.

Women’s Tennis (9-0, 7-0 TCCC)... The Colby-Sawyer women’s tennis team pushed its winning streak to nine last week with victories over Curry, Roger Williams, and Emmanuel. Junior Mary Francis (North Steuben, Maine), who was named TCCC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, led the Chargers with three wins at No.1 singles and two wins at No.2 doubles with teammate Brittany Mailman (Freedom, N.H.). Freshman Lauren Turenne (Reading, Mass.) went a perfect 6-0 last week including three victories with teammate Nikki Humphrey (Little Compton, R.I.). Sopho- more Hannah White (Stockbridge, Mass.) also recorded a prefect record last week with wins at multiple fl ights. The women’s tennis team continues a nice home stand with matches on Tuesday, September 30 against Plymouth State at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 1 versus Eastern Nazarene at 3:30 p.m. and fi nished the week off with a match on Saturday, October 4 against Wentworth at 1:00 p.m.

Women’s Volleyball (10-6, 4-1 TCCC)... The Colby-Sawyer College women’s volleyball team went 2-1 last week dropping a 3-2 decision to Gordon and beating Eastern Nazarene, 3-0 and Salve Regina, 3-2. Sophomore Michelle Doody (Franklin, Mass.) led all Chargers last week with 42 kills and a hitting percentage of .330. Freshman Nicole Duarte (Windham, N.H.), who was named TCCC Rookie of the Week for the third time this season, tallied 32 kills and added 16 blocks during the week. Junior Meg White (Monroe, Conn.) had another solid week with 25 kills and a team-high 30 digs. Junior setter Genny Moore (Centerville, Mass.) had 104 assists and 17 digs as she ran an effi cient offense last week. The volleyball team plays at Wentworth on Tuesday, September 30 and then has multiple matches at the Tufts Invitational on Friday and Saturday, October 3-4.
