JÖRG WIDMANN The Boulez Ensemble, which has been founded especially for the new Fantasie for Clarinet concert hall, consists of musicians drawn from the ranks of the and the West-Eastern Divan and of professors from the PIERRE BOULEZ Barenboim-Said Akademie. Karim Said and Michael Barenboim take on Berg’s Chamber Concerto, and Widmann performs his Viola Yulia Deyneka own Fantasy for Solo Clarinet. In honour of the recently deceased French Violoncello Kian Soltani and conductor Pierre Boulez, to which the concert hall has been Clarinet Jörg Widmann dedicated, the programme is opened by his fanfare-like Initiale and closed Soprano Anna Prohaska with sur Incises, for three , three harps, and three percussionists.
