2014 1702 Lvmh Press Release Gb
PRESS RELEASE Paris, 17 February 2014 At a Board meeting held on 30 January 2014, the Board of Directors of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton agreed to alter the legal status of the Company from that of a French Public Limited Company ("société anonyme") to that of a European Company. The Board noted that this transition, which is promoted by the European authorities, has already been made by several major European groups and agreed that the status of European Company better reflects the European and International scope of the LVMH Group. The number of LVMH Group brands having their roots in non-French European countries has significantly increased in recent years. After Loewe, Fendi, Pucci, Acqua di Parma, Tag Heuer and Zenith, the Group welcomed Hublot in 2008, Bulgari in 2011 and Loro Piana in 2013. The transformation into a European Company has no impact on governance, Head Office domicile or stockmarket listing and has no consequences for shareholders. This proposed statutory change will be submitted to shareholders at the Annual General Meeting on April 10th, 2014. LVMH LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton is represented in Wines and Spirits by a portfolio of brands that includes Moët & Chandon, Dom Pérignon, Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin, Krug, Ruinart, Mercier, Château d’Yquem, Château Cheval Blanc, Hennessy, Glenmorangie, Ardbeg, Wen Jun, Belvedere, 10 Cane, Chandon, Cloudy Bay, Terrazas de los Andes, Cheval des Andes, Cape Mentelle, Newton et Numanthia. Its Fashion and Leather Goods division includes Louis Vuitton, Céline, Loewe, Kenzo, Givenchy, Thomas Pink, Fendi, Emilio Pucci, Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs, Berluti, Nicholas Kirkwood and Loro Piana. -

Because even beyond our important role to play in the history of fragrance, Britain is once again becoming a fragrant force to be reckoned with. At the Perfume Society HQ, barely a week goes by without news reaching us of art projects, collaborations and entire new fragrance brands that are completely (and in some cases, literally) home-grown. So we couldn’t be more proud to dedicate an entire edition to all the fragrant excitement on our doorstep. We start with a fascinating timeline of British perfume houses. On p.11-26, Suzy Nightingale shares the story of many of the famous names which illuminate our scented history, from Floris (founded in 1730 and still going strong on Jermyn Street, in London’s St. James’s), right up to today, with perfume houses like Floral Street, Ormonde Jayne and Shay & Blue flying the flag for home-grown scent creativity on the world stage. Meanwhile, down in Dorset’s Tarrant Valley, one new British perfume house is daring to make scents that take us from field to flacon. We’ve all heard about field-to-fork, in food circles; today, Parterre are doing that with fragrance. -

2020 SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY REPORT Committed to positive impact 2020 SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY REPORT CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE 02 2020’S CHALLENGES 04 OUR SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY 26 OUR ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY 62 IN FINER DETAIL 106 LVMH 2020 Social and Environmental Responsibility Report COMMITTED TO POSITIVE IMPACT BERNARD ARNAULT Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Right from the start of the Covid-19 pandemic that hit the world in 2020 and continues to affect our lives today, my main priority was to protect the safety of employees throughout the LVMH Group, as well as our customers, partners and all other stakeholders. We have sought to alleviate the impact of the pandemic however we could, and I would like to thank our employees for everything they have done. They rapidly converted several Perfumes and Cosmetics facilities to produce hand sanitizer, jump-starting our engagement and drive to play our part. The Group went on to implement many other initiatives around the world. We continue to support efforts that offer promise in combating the pandemic, and will keep doing so as long as necessary. We have also maintained ties with our partners and suppliers in order to assist those experiencing difficulties as a result of the pandemic, because we understand that our businesses provide work for a vast ecosystem of indirect jobs, in France and Italy in particular. Our Group and Maisons have also taken action to address other issues and in other regions, for example by supporting the African-American community in the United States, where the Group reiterated its condemnation of all forms of racism.
