M.A.Ph.D in Hindi.Primary Education in Pandarpur.The further education and settlement in Kolhapur. Enrolled name in Mouni Vidyapeeth in Gargoti for higher education.Seriuos learning due to consciousness of adverse condition.With the mere support of Indian Government’s Scholarship and a maintenance allowance of Maharastra Government stood first in India in the teacher’s degree equal to teacher’s diploma among the rural universities.As a result, honours as ‘Role of Honour’ by Indian Government. Due to Sane Guruji’s literature at school, V.S.Khandekar’s company, lectures of well- known speakers and ‘Antar Bharti's’ formation made him alifetime dedicated teacher, Professor and retired successfully working .At every phase of life the attitude of working with devotion, everytime the strong obsession to make ‘Impossible Things Possible,while teaching at high- school, completed Ph.D. and entered college as a lecturer.After writing books in college entered the university. Conducted the highest number of activities as a Principal, obsession to reach the higher position due to contineous active energy, retired in 2010. After becoming financially independent, the contineous efforts to upbringing and rehabilitation of the orphans from 1980 to 2000, conversion of Kolhapur’s ‘Remand Home’ into ‘Child Welfare Package’.Became president of Maharashtra state's institution of ‘Deprived’.Editor of ‘Samaj Seva’quartarly.As a Indian delicate, made a study tours of 15 countries of Eurasia.as a result of it, decentralization of administrative mechanism in various orphanages and remand homes in Maharashtra, national and international level work and honour for aggregation of schemes, improving institutational status and regarding National laws and rights of children.At present abdication of all. (a) Wardha, 5th January 1935.—On the 25th December, Mahatma Gandhi visited the R.S.S. camp at Wardha, Hedgewar, Bhopatkar, Naik and Sir M. V. Joshi also attended. Hedgewar and L. B. Bhopatkar, were given a public reception on arrival at the railway station and escorted round the town by the R.S.S. band etc. In the afternoon, H. K. Joshi explained that this was the 7th session and pleaded for pecuniary help. Hedgewar spoke on discipline and stressed physical fitness to enable the boys to bear arms when the time arose. He, however, urged them to disobey even their parents if the latter went against the Sangh's rules. Bhopatkar urged an increase of R. S. S. members. He pointed out how Shivaji had routed the Mohammadans. Shivaji's guru, Ramdas, had told Shivaji to kill anyone who stood in the way, and Shivaji did so. After the Mohammadans, the British came on the scene over 150 years ago, and were still ruling India in a most unsatisfactory fashion. Hence a strong R. S. S. was needed. Shivaji overpowered Aurangzeb, and they must emulate Shivaji. The speaker condemned the peaceful tactics of Gandhi and said that non-violent methods did not appeal to him.     CHAPTER ONE / GROWTH OF THE PRESS FROM 1864 TO 1930. (PRE-RAJARAM ERA TO FIRST DECADE OF RAJ ARAM ERA). Press is often hailed as the fourth pillar of democracy. It plays a very important role in all the branches of human life. So it did in pre-Independence period of the modern India. Its contribution is quite substantial to the social history of that period and to the freedom struggle. The history of the press in India goes back to the period of Company rule, when some Europeans and Anglo-Indians had started newspapers in the second half of the eighteenth 1 century. Their objectives, however, were limited, just two-fold - information and amusement. And in meeting those objectives, those newspapers relied heavily on extracts from the newspapers and journals published in England or in other parts of Europe. The printing press, newspapers and journals made their beginning in the metropolitan towns of Calcutta, Madras and Bombay. In the beginning, newspapers were published in English. The 'Calcutta General Advertiser'was the first newspaper 2 to arrive onthe Indian scene. It was brought out by James Augustus Hicky, the proprietor of the 'Bengal Gazette' or 'Calcutta General Advertiser' and its first issue was published on January 29, 1780, ■3 at Calcutta. The 'Madras Courier' was the first newspaper started in 4 Madras in 1785. Bombay, the last of the Presidency to have its own 15) 5 newspaper, came up with ’Bombay Herald' in 1789 which was followed by 'Bombay Gazette' (1790) and the 'Bombay Courier' (1792). However, all those publications were essentially in English.

  • Anant Laxman Kanhere (1892 -1910) Was an Indian Independence Fighter from Nashik
    Unsung Heroes of the Freedom Movement from Maharashtra (Past and present) Anant Laxman Kanhere (1892 -1910) was an Indian independence fighter from Nashik. On 21 December 1909, he shot dead the Collector of Nashik in British India. The murder of Jackson was an important event in the history of Nashik and the Indian revolutionary movement in Maharashtra. He was prosecuted in Bombay court and hanged in the Thane Prison on 19 April 1910, aged just 18. Babu Genu(1908 -1930) was an India freedom fighter and revolutionary. On 12 December 1930, a cloth merchant named George Frazier of Manchester was moving loads of foreign-made cloth from his shop in old Hanuman galli in the Fort region to Mumbai Port. He was given police protection as per his request. The activists begged not to move the truck, but the police forced the protesters aside and managed to get the truck moving. Near Bhaangwadi on Kalbadevi Road, Shahid Babu Genu stood in front of the truck, shouting praises for Mahatma Gandhi. The police officer ordered the driver to drive the truck over Shahid Babu Genu, but the driver was Indian, so refused, saying: "I am Indian and he is also Indian, So, we both are the brothers of each other, then how can I murder my brother?". After that, the English police officer sat on the driver seat and drove the truck over Babu Genu and crushed him to death under the truck. This resulted in a huge wave of anger, strikes, and protests throughout Mumbai. # Babu Shedmake (1833–1858) was an Indian pro-independence rebel and a Gond chieftain from Central India.
