McCrohan, President 911 Boling Highway ~ Wharton, Texas 77488 979-532-4560 College Catalog No. 73 2018 – 2019 WCJC GUARANTEE: Wharton County Junior College guarantees that WCJC students who are planning to transfer to a four-year university to pursue a bachelor’s degree will be able to transfer their academic credit core courses to all state-supported colleges and universities in Texas. If a student takes core courses according to the conditions of this guarantee, and these courses are not accepted at a state-supported college or university of Texas, Wharton County Junior College will offer alternate courses that are acceptable, tuition free. Wharton County Junior College guarantees students of WCJC who complete a technical/vocational program will acquire the necessary job skills for entry-level employment in their field of study. If the employer decides that a completer lacks the entry-level job skills in the occupational field in which he or she has been trained, Wharton County Junior College will provide additional skill training, tuition free. This catalog is intended as a description of those programs and activities offered at Wharton County Junior College. The college reserves the right to select from the courses listed in the catalog that can be offered during any session. Further, WCJC reserves the right to change any regulations without previous notice. Not all courses listed in this catalog are offered each semester. Brunswick, Ph.D., Northern Michigan University, USA ABSTRACT This is a case about an entrepreneur who has spent his entire life riding, fixing, and selling bicycles. While the business is a family business, there is little doubt that it revolves around the owner and his reputation as not only a smart businessman, but also as a very honest, friendly, approachable individual. The case discusses the business in detail, from the early days to the present. The owners of the business, Joe and Cheryl Russell, have seen the marketing landscape change greatly in the past thirty-five years. Making advertising decisions is not as easy as it used to be, thanks to all the new media choices. In addition to making the proper selections, the Russells also wonder if they are spending too much money on advertising and promotion. Our handbook, which is in alignment with our Board Policy Manual, works cooperatively with the Illinois School Code to guide us along our mission. At the beginning of the year, we will familiarize our students with our overall expectations and code of conduct, but we strongly recommend that parents review this handbook with their children in advance of the school year. Occasionally, our formal resources do not account for all situations or for situations of extraordinary circumstances. In these special cases, our administrative team and Board of Education reserve the right to modify as necessary and provide the essential judgment and guidance needed.

If a school day is to be cancelled because of weather conditions or other emergencies, the Monday, January 25 stations listed below will be notified by 6:30 a.m. Board of Education Meeting whenever possible. Although it will most likely never happen due to the age of our students, the stations will be notified as soon as possible if school is to be dismissed early in the day, and they will be asked to repeat the announcement several times. Such an announcement means that the closing involves all District 108 schools. An individual building will not be named unless the emergency affects only that particular school.
