It allows you to search using the name of the syndrome. In this version, however, it only lets you search by the ICD10 code. Therefore, it is uselss. Unless you already know the full ICD code of what you are looking up. For example, looking up complex regional pain syndrome, I get mothering, whereas if I enter G90.512 I get complex regional pain syndrome.”

My documentation system at work required diagnosis codes for Evals, but it is very hard to find the right code because their keywords are pretty limited. This app saves me time because I can find a proper code so much quicker” o “Basic, so use your book! While the basic function of being a GEM app works fine, it doesn’t include any voluable information such as exludes notes or code additional comments which are essential to anyone coding, billing or documenting diagnoses. A lot of our clinics staff used this app for their first few competency gauges and failed the gauge tests badly. You need the book anyway to code the diagnoses properly, so just use the book to code. I would say the only real use is to use as a generic GEM.” o “It’s ok…The app does exactly what it says. It finds the code. However, it doesn’t give you any of the ‘code first’, ‘use additional’, or ‘excludes’ notes which are required for proper coding. This app could be useful for some, but for my job as a CPC I need more information.”
