There is so much to explore within the British Isles, whether you are enticed by the history of some of our iconic cities or wish to enjoy the great outdoors and contrasting landscapes. The following Shore Excursions at a Glance will hopefully give you a taster of what to expect on your wonderful voyage and our Destinations Team will be pleased to provide you with more detailed information and assist you with your bookings once you board the Golden Horizon. Scorrybreac Walk & History of Portree – Half Day Explore Portree, a bustling fishing town huddled around a charming harbour and continue the Scorrybreac route where you will be rewarded with some fantastic views to Raasay. Port Ellen Tuesday 20th July 2021 A small town on the island of Islay, in Argyll, Scotland. Arriving by ship it is impossible to miss the square shaped Carraig Fhada Lighthouse and its bay of golden sand. The island is best known for its whisky distilleries and you’ll have the chance for a wee dram. An Islay Distillery – Half Day Probably best known for its malt whiskies and eight working distilleries, take a visit to one of the distilleries and of course an opportunity to sample a dram. Centuries Old Finlaggen and the Wetlands – Half Day Finlaggan is a beautiful and peaceful setting and Islay is an important location for migrating birds.
