The Flying field is located along the Bientinese Road at 12 Km from Capannori City and 6 Km from Altopascio going to Bientina.

Itinerary:

a) A-B From highway Firenze-Pisa E76 to Airfield: exit at Altopascio then take on the right to Cerbaia then Callone Street, Europa Street, S.Provinciale SP15 Bientina and then Via Bientinese SP3. About 6 Km and 10 min. driving from Altopascio.

CONTEST RULES

Participation: The contest is open to all Aeromodellers holding a valid FAI license/FAI ID for the year 2018, that will be checked by the FAI Sporting licenses DB and to be shown if requested at the registration together with a valid personal insurance against third parties damages or injuries.

Rules and regulations: According to the FAI Sporting Code, Sect. 4 Volume F1 Free Flight Model Aircraft and Vol. FAI General Rules – Edition 2018 and applicable amendments.

Classes: F1A, B, C/P, Q, Senior and Junior Competitors.

Entry fees: Senior one category: 35 Euro Senior two categories: 50 Euro Junior (under 18): 15 Euro each category.

From September 30, 2018 entries without any prior notification will be only accepted at the following fees:

Senior: 55 Euro and Junior 25 Euro for each category.

Prizes: The first three individual Competitors of each class of the World Cup and the National Championship will be awarded with Trophies. Award ceremony at the flying field.

Contest results: will be provided during competition and at the time of Prize ceremony. Results will be provisional up to confirmation by the World Cup Management and Aero Club of Italy, Non EU citizens: For the release of required immigration visa an invitation letter can be provided under request. Field rules: The airfield is under Military Authorities jurisdiction and made available to the organizer for the competition. All competitors, helpers and supporters are therefore requested to comply with any instruction which may be issued by those authorities. Crossing cultivated fields must be limited to models recovery only, taking care to avoid crop damages. Forbidden, any use of motor means or vehicles into those areas, disqualification in case of infringement. Vehicles are not allowed therefore to cross the flying field. Parking area: Cars, caravans and others vehicles must be parked in the designated parking area at all time. The access to the field will not be allowed unless permitted by the organizer. Camping : Camping will not be possible and not allowed at the field or nearby areas. Limited quantity of campers might be parked in designated areas closed to the city of Altopascio with local police permission. Refreshing and meals: Food stand for refreshments and snacks will be available at the flying field. Saturday 06th October, 2018: Registration F1A, B, C/P,Q at the flying field, Padule di Bientina, Capannori (LU), contest day,

Sunday 07th October, 2018: Registration classes F1B,Q, at the flying field, contest day,

Practice flights will be possible on October 5, 2017 on the flying field - if free from military activities and/or farmer presence- at competitors own responsibility. All the field rules shall be respected.

Saturday, 06th October, 2018: F1A, F1C/P, Contests Day,

Sunday, 07th October, 2018: F1B, F1Q Contests Day.

Expected Flight Rounds Timetable (F1A, B, C/P, Q)and maxes:

1st Round: 7,30 – 8,25: max 240” 2nd Round: 8,30 – 9,25: 180” 3rd Round: 9,30 – 10,25: 180” 4th Round: 10,30 – 11,25: 240” 5th Round: 11,30 – 12,25: 180”

On unquestionable decision of the Contest Director, and on the basis of weather conditions one of the round flight time can be changed or increased to avoid repeated fly-offs up to 5 min. max.

Fly-offs: Will be defined as necessary

Prizing Ceremonies: at the airfield on both days and for all Classes.

Saturday, 06th October, 2018 at 8,00 PM: Dinner at local restaurant : to be defined at the price of XX Euro/pax Reservations are welcome by entry form or at registration. Notes: Flying time (max) and rounds, changes possible as per Rules and Regulation SC4 – FF Model Aircraft – Volume F1 and General Rules – 2018 edition, and/or based on organizational needs, number of participants and weather conditions.

Liability: The organiser will not be directly or indirectly responsible for any possible damage to third parties caused by the participant during the competition.

Letter of invitation

Dear Sirs, This letter is a formal invitation to all athletes of the FAI member Countries wishing to participate to the open international contest in subject valid as World Cup 2018 event. Please be informed that the Aero Club VO.LI Aeromodelling and Aero Club d’Italia has been entrusted by the Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI) with the organization of the FAI World Cup event 2018 in subject at Capannori (Lucca), Italy. This event will be held on October 6-7, 2018 at the flying site of Padule di Bientina, Capannori which is located in the province of Lucca, Italy. In case of bad weather conditions it might be postponed on October 13-14, 2018.

We therefore request entry visa to Italy be given, as applicable, to the participating athletes. All queries concerning the contest event and organization should be address to:
