The Eighteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time page 4 August 1, 2021 Dear St. Jude Parish, It is with gratitude that I wish to announce that, after seven years during which I have had the privilege to serve as Director of Liturgy & Music at St. Jude's, Fr. Mike has given me permission to take a year's leave of absence during which I will be singing as a bass lay clerk in the choir of Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford. This will be a time of learning and professional development for me, as well as of rest and personal growth. My last Sunday here will be August 29th, and I look forward to returning in September of 2022. Fr. Mike and I are working together to ensure that the parish's tradition of beautiful music continues in my absence with the appointment of an interim director of music, and we anticipate the parish choir beginning rehearsals again this September under my interim successor. With deep gratitude and my continuing prayers for this wonderful parish, Crawford Wiley Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford, England The Catholic Stewardship Appeal, the annual fundraising campaign of the tencounty better, more convenient way to participate in making Archdiocese of Milwaukee, supports Catholic life lives better than through the Appeal.
