CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION From October of 1920 to January of 1922, the sheep- raising territory of Santa Cruz, at the southernmost tip of Argentine Patagonia became the scene of violent labor disorders which pitted a largely foreign-born laboring population against a largely foreign-born proprietary group .
