The GOAL Report "Hats Off!" 2017 Financials 2018 Results 2019 Apply Now 1 A Message from GOAL Dear Friends of GOAL, This year, as the positive momentum surrounding the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program continues to build, hats off to our scholarship families, taxpayer contributors, state lawmakers, and school communities! We greatly respect and celebrate the thousands of Georgians responsible for this phenomenal success story. In 2018, lawmakers enacted the largest cap increase in the 11-year history of the program, increasing the total available tax credits to $100 million per year, for at least the next ten years. As a result, thousands of additional students will have access to Greater Opportunities for Access to Learning – GOAL! Our 135 GOAL participating schools, who have always operated with the highest degree of integrity and caliber of stewardship, continue to pursue the ethnic, racial, and socio-economic diversity that enhance the learning process for students and build stronger local communities. GOAL continues to receive contributions from a growing number of loyal and committed Georgia taxpayers, whose overwhelming support for better educational opportunities is groundbreaking and nationally-recognized. Administration 2 3 4 GOAL Revenue and Expenses The annual revenue of the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program consists of contributions made by Georgia taxpayers, who receive a state income tax credit and, in most cases, a federal charitable income tax deduction for the amount of their contributions . Under Georgia law, the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program is required to obligate at least 90% of its annual revenues for the provision of scholarships, leaving a possible 10% available for administration fees . -

Providing Greater Opportunities for Access to Learning 2010-2011 Annual Report Mission To provide greater opportunities for access to learning for all Georgia children (GOAL). Vision To operate in a transparent and accountable manner that serves the best interests of our scholarship students, our participating private schools, the citizens of Georgia, and the educational choice movement. Principles Effective GOAL is Georgia’s leading student scholarship organization. In its two and a half years of operation, GOAL has provided close to 3,000 scholarships to Georgia families, and, with the help of its 114 participating schools, GOAL has raised $28 million through 11,000 individual and 160 corporate contributions. Efficient Under Georgia law, GOAL is required to obligate at least 90% of its annual revenues for the provision of scholarships. Honoring its Board of Directors’ commitment to maximize funds used for scholarships, GOAL obligated 93% in 2008, 94% in 2009, and 94% in 2010. Georgia’s Education Tax Credit is the most popular program of its kind in the nation. Sixteen other states have similar tax credit laws, but Georgians have embraced this mission with unparalleled enthusiasm and in record numbers. After ten years, you have contributed $136 million to GOAL. Your excellent stewardship of this opportunity has produced amazing results. Ten years after our organization was formed, 12,000 Georgia students have improved their educational paths through GOAL Scholarships. Students previously in educational settings where they were not thriving are now achieving remarkable success in graduating from rigorous college preparatory schools, and continuing their education in universities.
