NEW ADDITION TO THE STAFF • Landon Lassiter is the newest member of the BC baseball staff as the volunteer assistant coach. • The High Point, N.C., native was a 2013 consensus first-team freshman All-American and part of the North reached-base streaks Carolina team that won the Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season and tournament titles and advanced to the College World Series in Omaha, finishing in third place. The following year, Lassiter earned a spot on the ACC All- Longest Current Tournament Team. He Gian Martellini 1 Jake Alu 1 was the first two-time recipient of the No. 8 jersey after he was the first junior selected in 2016. He started his Jake Palomaki 1 Brian Dempsey 1 senior season by being voted a team captain by his teammates and ended it by earning BC’s Unsung Hero Award as the male recipient. Adams ranked on 10 different BC record lists. He was named to the 2016 Oxford All-Regional Team and earned Most Outstanding Player. • Junior RHP Jacob Stevens was drafted in the 33rd round by the New York Yankees but chose to return to BC. The 992nd overall pick, he is currently ninth in BC’s record book with a 3.89 career ERA. In 31 appearances, the Darien, Conn., native has a 9-11 record for the Eagles with 143 career strikeouts. He earned Freshman All-American second- team honors from D1baseball and Baseball America, picked up ACC All-Freshman Team accolades and was named the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) Rookie of the Year. The 33rd-round selection was the second for Stevens, as he was also taken in the 33rd round coming out of Choate Rosemary Hall in 2015 by the Philadelphia Phillies.
