Dear CBDNA Colleagues, In my opinion the “band” culture in the 20th century has been primarily entertainment oriented. I was lucky David Rakowski recently fulfilled his Marine Band commission enough that year to be able to go to a lot of concerts of the ISCM with a work entitled “Ten of a Kind.” According to the composer’s World Music Days, which were in Boston in October.
