Compared to the Asian and African scenario it is found that, world has already experiencing a widespread diffusion of such activities for sustainable development. Whether science journalism is one of the numerous casualties in the media meltdown in the world is the most pertinent question of the last decade of 21st century. This study involved a survey of 14 most circulated English newspapers from 14 selected Asian countries with 14 different news agency from each country and their dependency were analyzed. Similarly, for African countries, 14 another circulated English newspaper from 14 selected African countries with 14 another news agency were listed and the dependency of those newspapers for science news and all other news were critically analyzed and lastly compared with Asian countries.

CHINESEARTICLE INSTITUTIONAL DIPLOMACY TOWARD KAZAKHSTAN: THE SCO AND THE NEW SILK ROAD INITIATIVE Chinese Institutional Diplomacy toward Kazakhstan: The SCO and the New Silk Road Initiative AZHAR SERIKKALIYEVA,* AIDARBEK AMIRBEK,** and EFTAL ŞÜKRÜ BATMAZ** ABSTRACT Today the established cooperation between China and Kazakhstan has reached the strategic partnership level. Also, the two neighboring coun- tries are partners in the international large-scale projects as the SCO and the New Silk Road Initiative. This paper claims that these projects are mostly lead by China. Moreover, it is argued that the SCO is aimed to solve the se- curity issues and the New Silk Road Initiative embodies the economic agen- da of the bilateral relations. Kazakhstan’s role and position is significant due to different reasons, while the Kazakhstani public remains cautious about the Chinese activity in Kazakhstan. The two named mechanisms are eventually focused on economical and cultural leadership of China among the secured multilateral cooperation in the continent. Introduction n more than thirty years of reform and implementation of open economy policies, great changes have taken place in China. With the country’s high Iengagement with the world, it became obvious that China did not isolate itself from the global developments. The rapid growth of China’s economy and the country’s growing ties with the rest of the world necessitate the develop- ment of new concepts and approaches in the Chinese diplomacy.
