It has been observed that the girls are deprived of basic education in the villages and parents are not willing to send their wards to faraway places so that they can attain some position in the society. So keeping in view this fact and in the celebration of 550th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji joint efforts have been made by the Punjab Government and Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar to establish a new constituent college in the village Fattu Dhinga, Sultanpur Lodhi. I take a pledge that I will work with utmost dedication and hard work and will bring this college to new heights in the society. I will prepare the girls in such a manner that they will be able to stand shoulder by shoulder as compared to men in the society after attaining the education from this college.
