Live 365 Internet Radio The Editor http://www.live365.com/cgi-bin/ directory.cg1?genre=bluegrass Hi Everyone -- Saturday – Noon – 1:00 p.m.

hank you all for your support in March -- a great concert with Junior T Sisk and Ramblers Choice with the Canucky Bluegrass Boys and a wonderful evening to benefit ArtsCan Circle at the Uxbridge Music Hall with Wendell Ferguson, Silverbirch and the Dnes Sisters.

Many of you know that we support the ArtsCan Circle and are raising funds to send performing artists to work with young people in remote communities in Canada's north. Long and McQuade donated a guitar and the winning raffle ticket will be chosen at the Bluegrass Sundays concert on April 19th.

ATTENTION RECORD LABELS & ARTISTS: Is Your Album Eligible for This Year’s IBMA Awards?

The submissions received for the Eligibility List for the 2009 IBMA Awards have been compiled and posted on the IBMA website. We encourage everyone to please visit and review that your submissions have been listed correctly and notify us of any omissions or errors. The first IBMA Awards ballot will mail to all professional members on May 22.

IBMA compiles this information for the voting members who may not be familiar with or have access to actual release dates of the recordings. Once again, we are requesting the help of record companies, artists and producer members in compiling the list.

THE ELIGIBILITY PERIOD IS FROM APRIL 1, 2008 THROUGH MARCH 31, 2009. To qualify for awards consideration, albums and songs must have been released during the eligibility period. "Release" is defined by the Rules of Election for the IBMA Awards, as the date on which any portion of the general public, anywhere in the world, first acquires (through sale or for free) and holds ownership of a playable copy of the entire recorded album project or song under consideration in any format or through any method of distribution. Promotional copies sent to the entertainment industry or media entities to foster awareness prior to public release shall not be considered in determining the date of release. At least 50% of the songs on an album must be new recordings first released during the eligibility period to be eligible.

IBMA reserves the sole and exclusive right to make eligibility determinations and may require additional information from candidates and/or their representatives in order to make such determinations. Contact IBMA for a complete set of criteria and rules.

The 2009 International Bluegrass Music Awards will be presented on October 1, 2009, in Nashville, Tenn.

To include a project on the reference list, send the following information for each recording:  Recording Title  Featured Artist/Group  Record Label  Website Address  Catalog Number  Commercial Release date (month/day/year recording was first made available to consumers) Even if you have sent IBMA information on recordings during the past year for review in the newsletter, please supply this specific information again, since prior info may not have established an exact release date. Because this reference list will likely not contain every recorded project released during the eligibility period, IBMA members are not limited to titles on the list when completing the ballot. Any necessary updates will be made to the list of eligible recordings posted on the website upon notification.

PLEASE SUBMIT INFORMATION ASAP Email: [email protected] Please go to: Fax: (615) 256-0450 www.ibma.org IBMA Awards Eligibility List 2 Music Circle South, Ste. 100 For further details Nashville, TN 37203 BMACC Notes—April 2009 Page 22
