Location: Cristuru Secuiesc, Romania Venue: Kolping Center Participating countries: Romania, France, Hungary, Netherlands, United Kingdom Participating organisations: Asociaţia Agricultorilor din Zona Cristuru Secuiesc Eurocicle, Szatyor Közösség a Környezettudatos Életmód Támogatásáért Egyesület, Stichting Boerengroep, Raising Awareness in Darlington and Teesvalley Participants: 7-7 participants from each country Working Language: English Short Summary of the Project The Farmers Association from Cristur Area will organize an 8 day Youth Mobility entitled SUPERMARKET vs LOCAL PRODUCER = SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT. In the project will participate 35 young participants from 5 EU countries. During the 8 days of this mobility, the participants will do various non formal activities where they would analyze and find solution to the ever growing problems related to not sustainable food consumption trends in our societies and social issues connected to food consumption in European countries. The activities of the exchange will include: - getting to know one another, Erasmus+ and team building activities, - a whole day process of making groups, buying food in the city, for the breakfasts of the youth exchange and analysing the types of food bought, their sources, reasons for buying them, and alternative options - visits and discussions with a CEO of a supermarket in our area - visits and discussions to local farmers and market managers - a community event where the participants will cook food for a group of 30 guests (decision makers, teachers, young people, parents, etc) and where, during the dinner, the prepared food will be divided for the guests and the participants according to the amount of food consumption in the continents of the world.
