Zephyrhills hosted Pasco last Thursday and the JV 9-Mile War was anything but close with the host team clobbering arch-rival Pasco 35- 7. Only a touchdown in the fi nal minute of play prevented the Pirates from being held scoreless. Afterward, Zephyrhills coach Raleigh Allen commended his play- ers, especially the ones on the defensive unit, for a solid eff ort in the season opener. He also noted three touchdowns the Bulldogs tallied on turnovers. “Good job defense,” he said, as coaches and players huddled in the south end zone of Tom Fisher Field. “You scored almost as many points as the off ense.” For the Pirates it was their third game of the season, including loss- es to Cypress Creek and Wesley Chapel. FC Heidenheim ist die letzte Partie im Merck-Stadion am Böllenfalltor in dieser Saison. Wobei zwischen Heim- und Auswärtsspielen in der Spielzeit 2020 / 21 kein großer Unterschied bestand. Alle bisherigen 32 Spiele wurden vor leeren Rängen ausge- tragen – so wird es auch bei den ausstehenden beiden Spielen sein. Fußball ohne Euch, daran werden wir uns nicht gewöhnen können. Es fehlt ein ganz großer Teil von dem, was diesen Sport ausmacht. Und trotzdem war es alternativlos und überlebensnotwendig für die Vereine, dass die Saison in dieser Art und Weise durchgeführt werden konnte. Ohne den Spielbetrieb und die damit verbundenen TV-Einnahmen hätte das vergangene Jahr für zahlreiche Vereine das Aus bedeutet. Natürlich wurde auch deutlich, dass im Fußball das Rad in vielen Bereichen zu weit gedreht wurde, sich vielerorts Vereine wirtschaftlich übernommen haben und nicht allein die Schuld in der Corona-Krise gesucht werden sollte. Doch auch wirtschaftlich stabile Vereine, wie wir es glücklicher- weise mittlerweile sind, stoßen an ihre Grenzen. Fußball ohne Fans macht keinen großen Spaß, aber ich bin heilfroh, dass die Saison 2020 /21 im angedachten Rahmenkalender gespielt werden konnte. Die Saison unserer Lilien lässt sich rein punktetechnisch leicht teilen. Premiumsponsor der Lilien Vorwort Liebe Freundinnen und Freunde der Lilien, ich begrüße euch ganz herzlich zum Spiel unserer Mannschaft gegen Holstein Kiel. Leider müssen wir erneut auf euch und eure Unterstüt- zung im Stadion verzichten. Ich kann euch kaum sagen, wie sehr ihr fehlt. Ihr seid das Herz dieses Vereins, wir Lilien stehen mehr als jeder andere Club für Gemeinsamkeit, Miteinander und für Geschlossenheit. Der Tag, an dem alle Plätze im Stadion belegt sind, wird für uns alle zusammen ein wunderbarer Tag sein. Indem wir uns und unsere Mitmenschen kon- sequent schützen und Kontakte minimieren, können wir dazu beitragen, dass dieser Tag in nicht mehr allzu weiter Ferne kommen wird. Es ist keine Frage, auch der Mannschaft fehlt die Unterstützung unheimlich. Trotzdem gilt es jetzt, mit aller Entschlossenheit und Konsequenz, im Spiel gegen Kiel in die Erfolgsspur zurückzukehren. Die Mannschaft spielt oft begeisternden, mitreißenden Fußball – zuletzt aber ohne sich dafür mit den dringend benötigten Punkten zu belohnen. Wir setzen den eingeschlagenen Weg zusammen konsequent fort, wir schauen mutig und positiv in die Zukunft. Die jetzt anstehenden eng- lischen Wochen wird die Mannschaft nutzen, das Punktekonto aufzu- füllen. Davon sind wir fest überzeugt. Währenddessen geht der Neubau der Haupttribüne trotz Pandemie und sinkender Einnahmen unbeirrt weiter.
