Sponsored by: TRANSPORTATION RESEARCH BOARD NATIONAL RESEARCH COUNCIL

In Cooperation With: Dallas Area Rapid Transit Texas Department of Transportation The 10th International HOV Conference is intended to: • Provide a forum for discussion and debate on current issues related to HOV Facilities. • Inform participants of the latest HOV related activities in the U.S. and other countries. • Document better HOV practices. • Share experience and innovations with your peers. • Transfer successful practices to other state and local agencies. • Tour the HOV and transit facilities in the Dallas area. • Learn "how to do it" in the optional Sunday HOV Training Course.

This Conference will bring together individuals with experience or interest in High Occupancy Vehicle Systems and will provide a unique opportunity for participants to exchange information and explore the myriad of issues related to HOV Systems planning, design, and operation.

Conference Registration Take advantage of the early bird registration rates until July 28th. The advanced registration fee is $295. After July 28th and at the Conference the registration will increase to $350. Do not send registration forms after August 18th - please bring them to the conference and register on-site. Registration is required for all participants and fees must accompany the Registration Form. The registration fee will cover: continental breakfast Monday through Wednesday; lunch Monday and Tuesday; a Monday evening "ice-breaker" reception; beverages for breaks; and other incidental expenses. Payment must be made by check, payable to TRB in US funds drawn on a US bank, by credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express), by purchase order, or by international money order. A registration confirmation will be sent in advance, time permitting.

Conference Location: Dallas, Texas is the location for the 10th International HOV Conference. Because of it's mid-America location it is easily accessible from anywhere in the U.S. Consequently, Dallas is this country's second most popular meeting destination. Within the city, the attractions are as varied as they are plentiful. From cosmopolitan dining and theatre to country western dancing, Dallas offers many alternatives for your "after conference" hours.

Lodging - 1321 Commerce Street - Dallas Texas 75202 The Hotel Adolphus has been selected as the conference hotel and a block of rooms have been reserved at the rate of $89.00/$109.00 per night single/double (plus applicable taxes). It is 30 minutes (18 miles) by taxicab or airport shuttle from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. This 83-year-old award-wining hotel combines a baroque setting with modern conveniences. Built in 1912 by the Missouri beverage baron – Adolphus Busch, the hotel has been placed on the Condé Nast Traveler's List as one of the best places to stay in the world and one of the top ten hotels in the United States. Recently renovated at a cost of $80 million, the Adolphus features exceptional accommodations including oversized guestrooms decorated in an English traditional country house style. Hotel Adolphus is located in the center of Dallas' financial district. Conveniently located at Commerce and Field, the hotel is just minutes away from the city's entertainment centers and historical sites. Some of the attractions that are within easy walking distance are the Dallas of Art (6 blocks), Neiman Marcus (1.5 blocks), and the historic West End District (8 blocks) with its 40 restaurants and nightclubs. Hotel reservations are a participant's responsibility. As soon as possible, but in no case later than July 28th, please call the Adolphus reservations desk directly and mention that you will be attending the Transportation Research Board meeting or return the enclosed Hotel Reservation Form directly to the hotel.

Important Note: Please confirm your lodging as soon as possible. Once the room block is sold out or after July 28th (whichever comes first), rooms and/or rate may not be available.
