ALGERIA Weekly Report ALGERIA Weekly Report 17 - 23 May 2018 1 Executive Summary Algeria Weekly Summary Summary Between 17 and 23 May 2018, there were 60 critical incidents in Algeria, including 34 deaths, 31 of which were caused by TABLE OF CONTENTS road traffic accidents. 196 arrests were also recorded, including those of eight Islamic insurgents, 18 drug traffickers Executive Summary 2 and 128 immigrants. The gendarmerie has launched an investigation into the incident, which locals reported was reminiscent of civil war executions. In Tizi Ouzou, street merchants clashed with the police on the first day of Ramadan, though no casualties were reported. Further activity is however expected as merchants have been barred from occupying the street located in front of the downtown marketplace. In just four days, 1,136 road traffic accidents claimed 31 lives nationwide. During Ramadan, road accidents account for higher numbers of casualties, largely due to tiredness and speeding.     3 Unveiling: the ‘revolutionary journées’ of 13 May 1958 Throughout the period from early 1956 to early 1958 putschist forces had been gathering strength both within the army and among right- wing settler organisations and these eventually coalesced on 13 May 1958 when crowds gathered in the Forum and stormed the General Government buildings. The military rapidly used the crisis to effect a bloodless coup and to install a temporary ‘revolutionary’ authority headed by a Committee of Public Safety (Comité de salut public or CSP) under Generals Massu and Salan. There then followed a tense stand- off between the army in Algeria and the new Paris government headed by Pierre Pfl imlin, a three-week period during which civil war was a real possibility, until de Gaulle agreed to assume, once again, the role of ‘saviour of the nation’, and was voted into power by the National Assembly on 1 June.1 ‘13 May’ was one of the great turning points in modern French history, not only because it marked a key stage in the Algerian War, but more signifi cantly the collapse of the Fourth Republic, de Gaulle’s return to power, and the beginnings of the new constitutional regime of the Fifth Republic. Au niveau central : Un riche programme a été mis en œuvre par la Direction Générale des Forêts en collaboration avec le Centre Cynégétique de Réghaia au niveau du lac de Réghaia (CCR) en présence des cadres gestionnaires des zones humides : - Présentation du plan de gestion de la zone humide de Réghaia - Visite guidée au niveau du centre d’éducation et de sensibilisation du public (ateliers d’animations en activité) : • ateliers de coloriages, confection de masques et poupées marionnettes • animation par un magicien et un clown • concours de dessin d’enfants • projection continue de films sur les zones humides • observation de l’avifaune du lac de Réghaia - Plantation symbolique au niveau de l’aire

However, little is known about the Multidrug resistance presence of AMR E. coli in the reproductive organs of broiler breeders. The aim of this study was to investigate Healthy broiler breeders the presence of E. coli in the ovaries of healthy broiler breeders and to study their antimicrobial resistance. Ovaries Samples from broiler breeders (n = 80) collected from 80 different broiler breeder flocks were included in this bla CTX-M-1 study. Antibiotic susceptibility testing was performed using disk diffusion method according to Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute guidelines. Minimal inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of five antimicrobial agents were determined by Etest.
