Knox County Food Show Field Trip By: Hailey Lepper

The Knox County Food Department had a food show at the Expo Center on October 18, 2018. At this food show, the chefs working for the Knox County school system creates dishes for students to taste test. The students vote on the items and this contributes to decisions on a new menu for school lunch and breakfast. Some of the items included: sweet and sour teriyaki chicken, fruit smoothies, granola bars, tacos, and pizza bites. “I found the food enticing. It had Top 10 Christmas variety,” says Alex Keck. “I especially liked the Asian food varieties,” claims Movies: Claudia Turner.
