III. OUTREACH INITIATIVES The following outreach initiatives were completed by the SEU during the reporting period:

A. Management Training:

The Salem Vice President of Human Resources conducts monthly HR Network Training Sessions via teleconference and PowerPoint presentations, which included review of EEO policies and compliance. The SEU’s Office Manager participates in these training sessions each month and then routinely communicates with the SEU’s General Manager and the other management team members to keep all employees apprised of the company and SEU’s policy on equal employment.

B. Job Banks and Internet Programs:

The SEU Participates in media related job banks and internet programs designed to provide general information about opportunities in broadcasting and to encourage individuals to consider future employment. During this reporting period, job postings were posted to the following job banks: • www.massbroadcasters.org • www.bwme.org • www.careerpage.org

C. Other Outreach Activities:

On-Air Advertising via a Virtual Job Fair Promotion – the SEU promoted a virtual Job Fair designed to further the goal of dissemination information about employment opportunities. The SEU did on-air broadcasts providing information about job opportunities in broadcasting available at Salem as well as various job opportunities available with other local businesses in the community.
