-w tn?AUS’ Margaret B., 101, of St. Clairsville, for merly of Bridgeport, died Thursday April 11, 2013, at Park Health Center St. Clairsville. She was born February 4, 1912, in Austria Hungry, a daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Bartok) Vargo. She was a member of the Tri-State Assembly of God in St. Clairsville. In addition to her par ents, she was preceded in death by a great- grand daughter, Terra Grace Hicks; and a sister, Irene B. Vapner. / Margaret is survived by her sons, Rudolph S. “Buck” (Debbie) Saus of Colerain, and James M. (Donna) Saus of Wheeling; a brother, Michael (Peri) Vargo of Columbus; and sister, Mary Pruszynski of Pittsburgh; five grandchil dren, Brian (Jackie) Hicks, Garrett (Trisha) Hicks, Rayven (Andrew) Cobb, Jimmy (Sara) Saus and Christie (Mike) Drake, six great- grandchildren; Maura, Ryleigh, Quentin, Zach, Geno, and Taylor; a brother-in-law, Tom Vapner; also several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to a graveside service at Lin wood Cemetery, Blaine on Saturday April 13, 2013 at 1 p.m. with Rev. James Hoff officiating. Spring Road, Martins Ferry, died Wednesday in East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pitts- burgh Steel Corp., Yorkville plant, and a member of Scotch Ridge Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Hughes Saus; five sons, Rudolph Saus of Martins Ferry, James Saus of Wheeling, Ernest Hughes of Yorkille, Robert Hughes of Michigan, and Charles Edward Hughes, with the U.S. Marines in California; a daughter. Brenda Lively of Texas; a brother, John Saus; three sisters, Irene Kelly and Wilma Saus, both of Martins Ferry, and Betty Szabo of Wellsburg; nine grandchildren. Friends received at Keller Funeral Home, Martins Ferry, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday. Interment in Holly Memorial Gar dens, Pleasant Grove. Wilma Anna Saus j^?r Wilma Anna Saus, 76, of Tampa, •Fla., formerly of Martins Ferry, died Feb. 3, 1994 at her residence. She was bom in Martins Ferry. She was a retired employee of Kings Daughters Child Care Center and was a 500 hour volunteer for East Ohio Regional Hospital. Surviving is her daughter, Leslie Szasz of Tampa; two sisters, Irene Kelley of York, Pa. and Betty Szabo of Follansbee, W.Va. A memorial service will be held Feb. 25 at 2 p.m. at the First Presby terian Church, Walnut & 4th streets, Martins Ferry. Arrangements by Na tional Cremation Society of Tampa. Madelyn Sauter WVvYo Funeral services for Mrs. Dean (Madelyn Host) Shepherd Sauter, 91, of Clinton, Okla., formerly of Cadiz and St. Clairsville, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home at Clin ton, with the Rev. Anne Clement of ficiating at the services. Burial will be in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home. She was bom Aug. 4, 1902, a daughter of the late Amos and Elizabeth Ross Host in Cadiz. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Mel F. Shepherd and Dean M. Sauter; two sisters, and a brother. He was a retired employee of Wheeling Machine Prod ucts, a Methodist and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles L. Dornon, in 1978. Surviving are his wife, Betty Dunn Sauvageot; a son, John H. of Yorkville; two daughters, Mrs. James (Walda) Cross of Brookville, Fla., and Mrs. Bill (Peggy) Patterson of Valley Grove; four grandchildren. SAVAGE, Betty Zane Ray, x7ri of the Welty Apartments, Wheeling, W.Va., died Thurs day, Oct. 2, 2003 in the Hilo Medical Center, Hilo, Hawaii. She was born in Wheeling on August 29, 1926, daughter of the late Ernest and Olive Ham- mick Ray. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Savage in 1996; a brother, Charles Ray; and a sis ter, Nancy Ritson. Mrs. Savage was a retired employee of the J.C. Penny Company and was a Protestant by faith. Surviving are her sons,,Steven S. Savage and his wife, Frankie, of Yorktown, Va. and H.A. Sav age of Norcross, Ga.; two broth ers, Thomas Ray and his wife, Jean Ann, of Weirton, W.Va. and Robert Ray and his wife, Sally, of Wheeling; and a sister, Martha Shaw and her husband, Charles, of Ocala, Fla. Preceding Babe in death were her husband, John L, “Jack" Savage, whom she married on September 1, 1 1949 and he died on Sep tember 11, 2010; son, Robert “Bob" Savage; brothers, John “Jonko” Timcho and George “Mack" Timcho; sister, Ann “Rosie" Coen; and a special aunt who raised her, Anna Kendrach. He was born May 15, 1982 in Wheeling, W.Va., the son of Curt Savage and the late Tamela Felix Savage.
