at Blue Mountain Academy Hamburg, Volume 2 The girls at B. M. A. especially ap preciate the pleasant lounge in their dorm (pictured at right), and the private atmosphere of their parlor (pictured below).

Through the grace of God and the royal support of the East Pennsylvania constituency, this second year at B. M. A. has brought with it a number of welcome improvements.

The boys also enjoy the homey sur roundings and furnishings· of their parlor-lounge. This spacious dining room awaits the sound of the bell announcing the noon meal. Pictured below is one of four guest rooms situated in both dormi· tories.

This year's student enrollment of 170 has had the pleasure and privilege of witnessing them. In these few pages we wish to present pictorially this progress in the school plant.

Our chapel has been greatly improved by the new chairs, tile floor, and plat· form draperies. The picture is a gift of the 1956 graduating class. Chemistry is as much a part of nature as life itself. Our laboratory has served a real need this year.

Our new bus provides transportation for choir trips and field trips.

Eadi classroom is equipped with chair desks finished in" natural oak. To the right is the English room at B. M. A.

ERHARD SCHLENKER Erhard hails from Philadelphia, Pa., the city of Brotherly Love. He is very much interested in bookkeeping and plans to be an accountant. "Bob" spends his spare time in photography. Good luck as you leave B. M. A. JANE NORMAN Jane comes to B. M. A. from Middletown, New York. Her sweet smile will be an advantage in her future nursing career. "Janie" likes chemistry, collects boxer dogs, salt and pepper shakers and recipes. When it comes to food, she enjoys a good plate of maca roni and cheese.

JAMES SMITH Jim hails from Liberty, Pa. He has received a good deal of experi ence here at school toward his ambition of being a farmer. We all agree with him when he says he likes reverence in God's house. Jim is counting the days till he can wear that cap and gown and we know he will be proud to wear it.

NELLIE HOLTRY Nellie, who comes from Shippens burg, Pa., has been casting her pleasant smile through the halls of B. M. A. for two years. "Little Nell," as she is known to some, plans to be an elementary teach er. She enjoys painting, loves cherry pie, but dislikes spinach!

He's always full of fun and when it comes to games Roy thinks there's nothing like playing "tiddlie-winks with man hole covers." NANCY STARK Until you get to know Nancy you might think she is very quiet, but you'll soon find out how alive she is! She is a hard worker and a very dependable one. Nancy plans to become a nurse and we're sure she will make a success.

THOMAS FOULKES Here's a senior fiom Stroudsburg, Pa. that really knows his mathe matics. His favorite pastime seems to be walking in his sleep around the school property, commonly called "night watch." Who knows, maybe we will have a professor from our class someday.

FRANK F AEHNER Anyone would know after talking to "our boy" Frank for a few minutes, that he hails from the Empire State, Howard Beach, Long Island, to be exact. He has spent his last year here at B. M. A. and says algebra was his favorite sub ject. He is interested in wood working and boat building and isn't just sure what he wants to be in life.
