THE SERIES Overall Record . First meeting Monmouth University hits the road for the fi rst time in 2003 as the Hawks travel to in Washington, D.C. First meeting our nation's capital for a 1 p.m. contest at Georgetown University. After wins over St. Peter's (24-0) and Robert Morris (17-10). Monmouth is looking to get off to a 3-0 start for just the second time in school history (2001). Callahan owns a 51-47 career coaching record, all with the Hawks. Callahan has led Monmouth to a pair of North east Con ference co-champi - on ships in 1996 and 1998. He earned NEC Coach of the Year accolades in 1998. Prior to arriving in West Long Branch, Callahan served as a defensive co or di na tor at Colgate for eight seasons and at Wagner for three years. He began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Albany (1977-79) and Syracuse (1980) before becoming a Seahawk assistant in 1981. www.monmouth.edu/athletics GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY With the exception of three hiatuses, football has been played on the campus of MEDIA SERVICES Georgetown University since 1887. Football was discontinued from 1895-1897, 1943- 1945 due to World War II and 1951-1963. It functioned as a club team from 1964 to 1969 before rejoining the NCAA ranks as a Division III member in 1970.
